Turning Your Leaf

Turning Your Leaf Empowering and supporting clients through making small, manageable diet and lifestyle changes that make their health goals attainable and sustainable.

Rena is a former RN who totally transformed herself by implementing diet and lifestyle changes. She eliminated pain, fatigue, and a host of conditions by identifying food and environmental triggers. The improvement Rena experienced prompted her to switch careers, becoming certified as an Integrative Nutrition Coach through The Institute for Integrative Nutrition so that she can empower as many cli

ents as possible to experience this same type of transformation. Sometimes, implementing change can be overwhelming for patients. Rena considers herself a great collaborator between the medical community and their patients due to the success she’s had in helping clients process information from their doctors and supporting them as they make the recommended changes necessary for improving their health and quality of life. Specialties include women who have autoimmune disorders, celiac disease, and support during cancer treatments. Additionally, Rena loves the support system of positive peer pressure that comes from conducting workplace group programs. Stress-reduction and fatigue are topics that often accompany weight-loss when properly addressed, and she is able to facilitate these sorts of programs in a variety of office settings. Her time as an RN has shown Rena how critical it is to help people learn and implement food and lifestyle changes if they are to avoid a lifelong battle with chronic disease which, she contends, robs them of quality of life and their money, as chronic illness and medication comes with a high price tag. Her personal experiences have made her value compassionate, non-judgmental care and it is demonstrated in her coaching style. Of highest priority to her is having clients feel heard and understood. Rena is a guest lecturer in the Vanderbilt summer programs on topics such as healthy eating and the effects of sugar/sugar substitutes on the brain and body.

Reflexology is often misunderstood as simply a way to relax, but trained reflexologists work with detailed reflex maps to support the nervous system and whole-body balance.

Through observation, assessment and an understanding of anatomy and physiology, reflexology supports the body’s ability to move out of stress and into regulation, where rest, repair and healing can take place.

💜 The Irish Reflexologists’ Institute (IRI) is the professional body for reflexology in Ireland, supporting reflexologists through education, professional standards, continued learning, and a connected practitioner community. 💜
