For autistic athletes, swimming is an ideal sport because it relies heavily on predictable routines, sensory regulation, and physical repetition. By breaking complex techniques down into small, manageable steps and utilizing consistent repetition, these athletes can build deep muscle memory and master highly technical strokes.
