What does your donation mean? 🩺
It means a patient can walk through our doors without fear of cost.
It means access to care, dignity, and hope.
It means medications filled, questions answered, and lives changed.
At CHCC, every dollar goes further than you might think—because behind each donation is a person who needs care and a community that shows up for them.
Your support truly makes a difference.

Thank you for being part of it. 💚

We went on a duck hunt… and no, not the kind you’re thinking 🐤😂
Our team had a blast participating in a scavenger hunt around the clinic, hunting for hidden ducks—and let’s just say, things got competitive!
Shoutout to Alex for coming out on top as our official Duck Champion! 🏆🐤
We love finding little ways to bring energy, teamwork, and fun into our days while we continue serving our community. 💙

A patient walks into CHCC unsure how they’ll afford care—
but leaves with answers, support, and a path forward. 💙
That’s what community care looks like.
If you’re a COUNTRY Financial, IAA Credit Union, or Illinois Farm Bureau employee, you already know the importance of showing up for your neighbors—and this June, you can make an even bigger impact.
With your company’s 2:1 match, every $1 you give becomes $3, helping more people in our community get the care they need to stay healthy and keep moving forward.
It’s a simple way to turn compassion into action—and reach more neighbors who need us.

Today is a good day for health care in Illinois. The Illinois General Assembly has approved a $9 million appropriation for free and charitable clinics in the FY27 State Budget.

The Illinois Association of Free and Charitable Clinics (IAFCC) is grateful, energized, and ready to put every dollar to work. This funding, administered through the Illinois Department of Public Health, affirms what our clinics have always known: free and charitable clinics are not a safety net of last resort. They are trusted pillars of their communities, delivering care with dignity to the people who need it most.

IAFCC extends a special thank you to Leaders, State Rep Theresa Mah and State Senator Karina Villa, who brought forth this legislation and have championed Illinois' Free and Charitable Clinics in Springfield for five years running. Your voices — and your persistence — made this possible.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month 💚

Mental health is just as important as physical health—yet too often, it goes unspoken. CHCC encourages everyone to take a moment to check in with yourself, your colleagues, your friends, and your loved ones.

Whether it’s practicing self-care, seeking support, or simply starting a conversation, every step matters.
Let’s work together to break the stigma and build a stronger, healthier community—one conversation at a time.

Reminder! For Memorial Day, the CHCC will be closed on 5/25.

¡Recordatorio! Por el Día de los Caídos, el CHCC estará cerrado el 25/5.

Can you hear the sound of sunshine? ☀️🎶
Before you soak it all in—don’t forget it’s National Don’t Fry Day AND May is Skin Cancer Awareness Month! Protect your glow 🧴🕶️✨
☀️ Tips to Avoid a Sunburn
• 🧴 Wear sunscreen (SPF 30 or higher) and reapply every 2 hours
• 🕶️ Cover up with a hat, sunglasses, and lightweight clothing
• 🌳 Seek shade, especially between 10 AM–4 PM
• 💧 Stay hydrated—water helps your skin stay healthy
• ⏰ Set a reminder to reapply sunscreen (it’s easy to forget!)
• 👶 Protect sensitive areas like your face, ears, neck, and shoulders
• 🏖️ Be extra careful near water, sand, and pavement—they reflect the sun
• ☁️ Don’t skip SPF on cloudy days—UV rays still get through
