We had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend filled with fun activities, community connections, and support throughout Berkshire County!☀️

Our CBDS program kicked off the weekend with a relaxing day of fishing at Windsor Lake before attending the Hometown Heroes Celebration to honor and remember those who served.

Members of our leadership team also attended the North Adams Disabilities Commission Wellness Fair, connecting with community members and sharing resources promoting inclusion for all.

Thank you to everyone who helped make the weekend so meaningful and memorable!

📢 Advocacy in Action!

Fourteen BFAIR staff members and individuals served traveled to the Boston State House on Wednesday, May 13th for the 2026 Providers' Council Caring Force Rally to make our voices heard. Together, we advocated for increased funding for essential programs, livable wages for Direct Support Professionals who make this work possible every day, and student loan forgiveness to strengthen and sustain the human services workforce.

The day was made even more meaningful as we traveled alongside our fellow nonprofits at UCP of Western Massachusetts and Berkshire County Arc — united on one bus with one shared message: people with disabilities and the professionals who support them deserve investment, opportunity, and support. 💙

We are proud to stand together in advocacy for a stronger future for our community.
