MEET BRITTNEY:
CEO, Founder of The Pelvic Connection
CEO, Co-Founder of My Core Floor
Licensed Pelvic Health Physical Therapist 2001 - Present
Hello Everyone,
My name is Brittney and I am the face behind The Pelvic Connection. I graduated from Russell Sage College in Troy NY in 2001 with my BS / MS in Physical Therapy. I was hired immediately by the National Rehabilitation Hospital in Washington D.C. where I started my career as a Pelvic Floor Therapist. I have taken extensive training in this area working with women throughout their lifespan with problems such as urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, pelvic pain, bowel issues, urgency, frequency, and more. I have worked with women clinically for more than 23 years.
Being a Pelvic Therapist does not shield us from developing pelvic floor issues and after the birth of my daughter 17 years ago I developed a bladder prolapse. I am proud to say that because I practice what I preach I have had no prolapse symptoms or worsening of the prolapse since I was initially diagnosed.
When you don't see me online educating and promoting or in the clinic you can find me hiking/walking with my dog or spending time with family and friends. I was blessed with 2 amazing children. My son is an avid golfer and a sophomore at Siena College in Loudonville, NY and my daughter, who is a 3 sport athlete in soccer, basketball, and lacrosse, is a senior in high school this year. I am grateful for an incredible support network in my life and that I get to spend my spare time with my children, husband, parents, siblings, and close friends who are all local to me.
Anyone who knows me will tell you about my strong passion for educating and helping women. Early in my career I became frustrated with the lack of good resources for women in the area of pelvic health. I thought it was insane that studies were showing that 1 in 3 women suffered from pelvic floor issues in their lifetime yet the average time it took for women to get the help they needed from a provider who understood her issue was an average of 7 years. This was not okay so I developed an online pelvic health platform for women who didn't have access to me or good pelvic health in their area. That platform launched in 2016 and continues to help thousands of women world wide. in 2023 I launched The Pelvic Connection to provide in person consultations and resources to the women of my community. I continue to work both businesses and have hired additional Pelvic therapists to help better serve those that need our help.
At The Pelvic Connection we understand that life is busy, schedules are constantly changing, and money can be tight. We also understand that women DO NOT deserve to live with pelvic floor issues like pain with s*x, leaking, urgency, and pelvic pressure to name a few. We also know that women DESERVE to to live a life that is dictated by their DESIRES not by what their body tells them. If you are interested Iearning more about the services we provide you can email me at [email protected] or private message on Facebook.
Cheers to healthy pelvic floors! ๐
