Don’t fear a long labor!
I know we hear “my labor was 24 hours” “my labor was two days” “15 hours” and so on and so on and we start to sit with the fear of, 1. That something has to be wrong for it to be long, and 2. That it is going to be painful the entire length of those hours.
I’m here to remind you that labor can look like this in between! Contractions are like waves they come and go.
So REST, SLEEP, EAT, HYDRATE, hug, kiss, laugh, read, sway, breathe!!! There are moments of rest and when you find those moments lean into them. Sometimes labor takes its time and that is okay. We don’t need to rush, all we need to do is surrender and breathe. And don’t forget you’ll be meeting your baby soon. A moment of time in the grand scheme of life.

Doula support is so much more than laboring positions and comfort measures.

It’s having someone beside you who sees you, hears you, and holds space for everything you’re feeling. Someone to hold your hand through the intensity, remind you of your strength when you need it, and gently support you as you find your own way through birth.

You deserve to feel supported, empowered, and never alone.
