Such an honor to have Stormi be a Grand Marshal for A Kid Again! 🩷

We are so thankful for this organization and everything they do for kids like Stormi and their families. A Kid Again gives families raising children with medical needs the opportunity to make memories together through amazing outings completely free of charge. We got to take Madison to Cedar Point through A Kid Again. Stormi wasn’t able to attend that outing, but it gave us something we don’t get enough of..quality time with our daughter Madison. And that meant more to us than I can explain.

Vacations and big family outings don’t come often for medical families. Between appointments, therapies, care needs, time, and the extra financial responsibilities that come with raising a child with special needs, those experiences can be really difficult to make happen.

Organizations like A kid Again give families a chance to step outside of the medical world for a little while, make memories, and just enjoy being a family.

We’re incredibly grateful to be part of such an amazing organization and so thankful for the opportunity for Stormi to represent them as a Grand Marshal. 🩷 She couldn’t contain her excitement!!

Right as I was finishing up our last two chairs, I told my husband, “I think we need to take a break.” Our printers have been giving us trouble, we’re completely out of hardware and spare parts, and I was getting frustrated. Some of these parts have taken me days to clean up and more cut-up fingers than I can count. 😅

3D printing isn’t easy, but I truly feel like this is part of my purpose.

Then last night, we got an email about an $872 donation to help us keep building, and it felt like God telling me, “It’s not time to stop yet. There are still kids to help.” 💜
Thank you to everyone who has supported us and MakeGood Assistive Design mission. Seeing the smiles on these kids’ faces when they get their chairs makes every frustrating print and late night worth it.

We’ll be at Capes & Crowns!

Stark DD will be joining A Kid Again - Northern Ohio Chapter for its Capes & Crowns Walk and Family Fun Fest on Sunday, August 30, at North Park in Jackson Township.

A Kid Again provides cost-free Adventures and support for families raising children with life-threatening conditions, and this community event will bring families together for an accessible walk, character meet-and-greets, Touch-A-Truck, activities, food and more.

If you’re attending, be sure to stop by the Stark DD resource table and say hello! We’ll be there sharing information about Stark DD services and supports and connecting with families from across our community.
