🏋️‍♂️ SUMMER ATHLETE PERFORMANCE PROGRAM 🏃‍♂️

Parents: Is your athlete interested in getting stronger and faster but doesn’t know where to start?

Our Summer Athlete Performance Program is designed for athletes entering grades 7-9 who want to build strength, improve athleticism, and learn how to train safely and effectively.

Over 12 small-group training sessions, athletes will learn:
✅ Proper lifting technique
✅ Gym safety and confidence
✅ Strength training fundamentals
✅ Plyometric training and landing mechanics
✅ Speed and agility fundamentals
✅ Recovery and training habits

Unlike many youth training programs, our focus isn’t just on getting athletes tired—we’re teaching them the foundational skills and knowledge they can use throughout their athletic careers.

👥 Limited to just 8 athletes for individualized coaching

What are plyometrics? 🦘💥

Plyometrics are explosive movements designed to help your body produce force quickly. Think jumps, bounds, hops, skips, and rapid direction changes. They improve power, speed, coordination, balance, and tendon resilience! Making them valuable for athletes and active adults.

At Lange Sports Med, we use plyometrics all the time in rehab and performance training because life and sports happen fast. Whether you’re trying to return to running, cut on the soccer field, jump higher, or simply trust your body again after injury, your rehab should prepare you for real movement demands.

One year of Lange Sports Medicine & Physical Therapy 🏋️

What started in a small shared room has grown into something so much bigger than we ever imagined. This past year, we expanded our team, moved into our own space, and had the privilege of working with more incredible patients than we could have hoped for.

But more than anything, this year has been about community. The relationships we’ve built with our patients, and with the amazing gyms and people around us, are what truly make this so special.

We’re so grateful to every single person who has trusted us with their care and been part of this journey. Watching our patients stay active, get stronger, and return to what they love is why we do what we do.

As we gear up for the LA Marathon, I’ve been seeing a rise in IT band syndrome among runners, and it’s crucial to take a proactive approach to keep you moving strong! Here are three key exercises to help manage IT band pain:

1️⃣ Supine Hip Flexion (Thomas Exercise) with added weight to improve hip mobility.
2️⃣ Side Plank Pop-Up for building lateral core strength and stability.
3️⃣ Cross-Training with an incline walk to keep moving with reduced stress on the IT Band

Incorporate these moves with heavy, slow, controlled resistance training to build strength and prevent overuse. Stay consistent, and let’s keep those miles pain-free!

Soccer warm-up ≠ just jog & stretch.

If you want to feel faster, more explosive, and more stable when you cut or pivot, add this sequence before training:

⚽️ Monster Walks – Fire up the glute med. Better hip control = cleaner cuts and less knee collapse.
⚽️ Single-Leg RDLs – Load the hamstrings and glutes the way you sprint and decelerate on one leg.
⚽️ Split Squat Jumps – Build unilateral power for first-step acceleration.
⚽️ Sprint → Hard Decel → Back Shuffle – Train the exact transitions you use in a game: accelerate, stop on a dime, open up, and reposition.

This combo activates the glutes + hamstrings while prepping your body for pivoting, cutting, and change of direction demands you’ll see on the field.

Stop warming up to sweat.
Start warming up to perform.
