Today I'm thinking about the nurses. ♥️

The ones who held your hand before surgery. Who showed you how to change your pouch for the first time. Who answered your questions at 3am when you couldn't sleep.

The ET nurses. The wound care specialists. The nurses who work in clinics and hospitals and home care settings every single day, advocating for patients like you. I have heard the stories...the gratitude!

You don't get the recognition you deserve. But please know... you changed lives. You made people feel less alone. You gave them confidence when they needed it most. 🙌🏼

The airport can feel overwhelming if you're worried about your ostomy. 😒

Security lines. Long flights. Unfamiliar bathrooms. It's a lot to think about!

But here's the thing... you can do this! Thousands of ostomates travel every single day without worry.

A few things that help: empty your pouch before security. Let TSA agents know what you have (they see medical supplies all the time). Pack extra supplies in your carry-on. Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothes.

And remember, you belong on that plane just as much as anyone else!

Happy Friday, friends!

Memorial Day weekend is here, and I'm feeling grateful.
Grateful for the freedoms we have. Grateful for those who sacrificed so much to protect them. Grateful for the chance to gather with people we love and make memories together.♥️

This weekend, I'm planning to slow down. Maybe fire up the grill. Spend time with family. Enjoy the sunshine and the start of summer.

We get to enjoy this long weekend because of true sacrifice. And that's something I never want to take for granted.

So however you're spending your Memorial Day weekend (barbecues, beach trips, quiet time at home, or honoring loved ones lost) I hope it's meaningful. I hope it's filled with connection. And I hope you take a moment to remember why we have this day.
