To incorporate TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) into your life today you can start your morning by drinking a warm cup of water and eating a nourishing, cooked breakfast to support your digestive fire. Throughout the day, choose lightly cooked or steamed meals over raw, cold foods to improve your body's nutrient absorption. Take short, mindful breathing and stretching breaks to unblock physical or emotional energy stagnation. Finally, establish a consistent evening wind-down routine that prioritizes resting by 11:00 PM to align with your body's natural restorative cycles.

Acupuncture can help with seasonal symptoms of spring
Acupuncture is highly effective for easing seasonal ailments triggered by the rising "Wood" energy of spring. It is most commonly used to relieve seasonal allergies by reducing inflammation in the nasal passages and modulating the immune system's overreaction to pollen.
Also used it to treat muscle stiffness and spasms, particularly in the neck and shoulders.
the Liver system governs emotions, acupuncture can soothe irritability, frustration, and stress by smoothing the flow of stagnant Qi. Additionally, it helps alleviate springtime headaches and migraines that often occur at the temples or base of the skull.

Acupuncture is a safe, drug-free therapy that supports pregnant women by alleviating common physical discomforts like morning sickness and lower back pain. It regulates the nervous system to help reduce stress and improve sleep quality, and it may even encourage proper fetal positioning. Additionally, pre-birth sessions can help prepare the body for an efficient labor.
Benefits: Morning Sickness Relief: Targeting specific points, such as the wrist, has been shown to effectively reduce nausea and vomiting during the first trimester.
Pain Management: As the body's center of gravity shifts, acupuncture helps release tension and improve blood flow, reducing pelvic and lower back aches.
Stress & Sleep: By stimulating the release of endorphins, it promotes a calming, parasympathetic state that eases anxiety and improves sleep quality.
Labor Preparation: Pre-birth acupuncture (often started around week 35 or 36) helps soften the cervix and promotes more efficient contractions.

Electric acupuncture, also known as electroacupuncture, is a modern variation of traditional acupuncture where a small device delivers a gentle electrical current through the inserted needles. This continuous, low-level stimulation helps to activate the sensory nerves, relax tight muscles, and reduce inflammation. The added pulse amplifies the traditional healing benefits, making it highly effective for chronic pain management and sports injury recovery. Patients typically describe the sensation as a mild tingling or pulsing, and the intensity can be adjusted for maximum comfort.

Why Do People Try Acupuncture
While acupuncture is widely known to relieve pain, it is also helpful for many conditions in which pain is not primary, including a wide variety of chronic conditions. It can be used for almost any physical or emotional problem, or simply the desire to stay well. People from all walks of life use acupuncture for many different reasons. People who might particularly benefit include those:

With chronic pain or other symptoms not responding to traditional treatment
For whom there are limited medical interventions, as with acute viral infections, nutritional and metabolic disorders, chronic degenerative diseases, allergies and auto-immune diseases, arthritis, hypertension, psychosomatic diseases and certain mental conditions, such as depression or anxiety.
Who feel as if something is “wrong” even though tests are inconclusive
Whose symptoms seem to be associated with or worsened by stress (asthma, migraines, etc.)
Who would like additional support for their prescribed treatment to help cope with side-effects or to improve vitality (to help with side effects of chemotherapy or surgery, for example)
Who are in basic good health and want to facilitate their well-being and prevent illness.

Watermelon is naturally a "cooling" fruit in TCM that clears summer heat and quenches thirst. Combined with mint, calms the nervous system and soothes the mind. This drink naturally balances your body’s internal temperature without shocking your digestive system with ice.

Ingredients

4 cups watermelon, cubed (remove seeds)
1 large English cucumber, diced
1/2 cup brewed green tea, chilled to room temperature
A handful of fresh mint leaves (about 1/4 cup)
Juice of 1 lemon
Raw honey or maple syrup to taste (optional)
Instructions

Blend: Combine the watermelon, cucumber, and mint leaves in a blender and blend until completely smooth.
Add the Essentials: Pour in the chilled green tea and fresh lemon juice. Blend again to incorporate.
Sweeten (Optional): Taste the mixture and add a small drizzle of honey or maple syrup if you prefer extra sweetness.
Chill: Refrigerate for 30 minutes. Serve at room temperature or slightly chilled instead of ice-cold to protect your Spleen and digestive health

JUNE NEWSLETTER

In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), June is associated with the Fire element and peak yang energy. This time is linked with heart health, making it an ideal period to focus on emotional balance and joy. Practitioners recommend eating cooling, hydrating foods like watermelon to clear internal heat and support digestion. Getting active outdoors while avoiding peak sun exposure helps align the body with the summer season.
