Your body is always communicating with you, and sometimes the symptoms we brush off as “normal” may be clues that it needs more nutritional support. 🌿

Fatigue, muscle cramps, hair loss, easy bruising, tingling, poor wound healing, or difficulty concentrating can sometimes be associated with nutrient deficiencies such as vitamin D, B12, magnesium, vitamin C, zinc, or vitamin K.

Another piece I always consider is viral load. When the immune system is under chronic stress from a higher viral burden, the body may use nutrients more rapidly, appetite and digestion can be affected, and overall nutrient status may become harder to maintain. That can create overlapping symptoms like fatigue, weakness, brain fog, poor recovery, and increased sensitivity to stress.

The important part? Symptoms alone don’t tell the whole story. Nutrient deficiencies, viral stress, poor absorption, diet, inflammation, and other factors can all overlap.

At Rapha Wellness & Health, I look at the whole picture so we can support the body at the root, not just chase symptoms. 💗

A little at-home self-care day ✨😬

Today I colored my own hair with Surface Hair Color, gave myself a little trim, styled it, did my makeup, and just took some time to pamper myself.

As a naturopath and esthetician, I’m very conscious about the products I choose to use on my body. That’s one of the reasons I personally prefer Surface Hair Color — I like choosing beauty products that better align with the cleaner, more intentional lifestyle I try to live.

And just to be clear… I am not a cosmetologist 😂 I just happen to be brave enough to cut my own hair.

Sometimes self-care is simply taking a couple of hours for yourself, refreshing your look, putting on some makeup, and doing something that makes you feel good.

Today was one of those days. 🩷✨

Your body is always communicating. The question is—are we listening? 🤍

Fatigue. Digestive issues. Hormone changes. Headaches. Skin concerns. Poor sleep. Inflammation. Feeling “off” even when you can’t quite explain why.

These symptoms may look unrelated, but sometimes they’re pieces of the same bigger picture.

At Rapha Wellness & Health, I take a whole-person, root-cause approach. We look beyond the surface and consider nutrition, digestion, stress, nervous system health, deficiencies, lifestyle, environmental burden, and the patterns your body may be showing.

My goal isn’t to chase symptoms one at a time. It’s to help you understand your body, connect the dots, and create an individualized natural wellness plan that supports healing from the inside out.

If you’ve been told everything looks “normal,” but you know you don’t feel like yourself, don’t ignore that.

Keep looking for the why. 🌿

Did you know dried apricots can be a beautiful whole-food way to support healthy iron intake? 🌿

Because they’re dried, their nutrients become more concentrated, making them a naturally rich source of plant-based iron along with potassium, copper, fiber, and beneficial carotenoid antioxidants.

One simple way to get even more from them? Pair dried apricots with a vitamin C-rich food like lemon, orange, kiwi, strawberries, or bell pepper. Vitamin C helps support the absorption of non-heme iron from plant foods. 🍊✨

Apricots also provide carotenoids, including beta-cryptoxanthin, that help support antioxidant protection, cellular health, and healthy lung tissue.

When choosing dried apricots, look for:
• Unsulfured varieties
• No added sugar
• Simple, whole-food ingredients

Sometimes supporting the body really can be this simple: whole foods, intentional pairings, and gentle nourishment. 🌿

Most people have vinegar sitting in their kitchen and never think twice about it—but vinegar is still an acid, and drinking it improperly can cause real harm.

Regular household vinegar is typically around 5% acetic acid. In normal food amounts, like salad dressings, marinades, and recipes, it’s generally fine.

The concern is when someone:

* Drinks vinegar straight
* Drinks a large amount
* Uses a highly concentrated vinegar/acetic acid product
* Tries to make themselves vomit after swallowing too much

Straight or concentrated vinegar can irritate or burn the mouth, throat, esophagus, and stomach.

If someone accidentally swallows a concerning amount of vinegar:

* Rinse the mouth.
* If they are fully awake and able to swallow normally, small sips of water or milk may help dilute what was swallowed.
* Seek help right away from Poison Control or emergency services if symptoms are severe.
* NEVER induce vomiting unless a poison-control professional specifically instructs you to.

Making someone vomit can expose the esophagus to the acid a second time and can also increase the risk of aspiration into the lungs.

A small accidental sip of ordinary household vinegar is usually very different from swallowing a large amount or a concentrated product—but when in doubt, get guidance.

Sometimes the most ordinary things in our homes are the ones we forget to treat with care.

🍋 Lemon Garlic Chicken Pasta 🍋

Quick, fresh, and family-friendly—this is the kind of dinner I love because it comes together in about 25 minutes without feeling boring or overly complicated.

Made with chicken, zucchini, peas, garlic, lemon, and pasta, it’s simple real food with plenty of flavor.

✨ Easy swap: Use your favorite gluten-free pasta to make it GF.

This is a great weeknight option when you want something comforting but still light and fresh.

Real food. Real simple. Real good. 💚

Save this one for your next busy night!

Let’s talk about Cyclospora—without creating fear around food.

Cyclospora is a microscopic parasite that can contaminate food or water, especially raw produce like berries, leafy greens, fresh herbs and bagged salads.

Symptoms may include watery diarrhea, cramping, bloating, nausea, fatigue, loss of appetite and weight loss. Unlike a typical stomach bug, symptoms can last for weeks and may improve, then return.

Most healthy people will recover without medication, but hydration and close monitoring are important. Support may include:

• Water and electrolytes
• Mineral-rich broth
• Rest
• Simple, easy-to-digest foods
• Avoiding greasy foods, alcohol and anything that worsens diarrhea

Gentle options like chamomile, lemon balm, mild ginger, marshmallow root or slippery elm may help soothe the digestive system, but they have not been proven to eliminate Cyclospora.

Avoid aggressive parasite cleanses, laxative herbs or combining multiple strong antimicrobials during active diarrhea. More is not always better.

Wash produce carefully, remove damaged outer leaves, refrigerate it promptly and seek medical care for severe, persistent or worsening symptoms—especially in young children, older adults, pregnant women or anyone at higher risk.

Knowledge helps us make informed choices—not fearful ones.

Hormonal imbalance can feel like you’re living in a body that no longer feels like yours.

One month your cycle is different.
Your sleep is off.
Your mood feels unpredictable.
You’re tired, anxious, bloated, breaking out, gaining weight, losing hair, or just feeling “not like yourself.”

And so often, women are told, “Everything looks normal.”

But your symptoms are not random. Your body is communicating.

Hormones are connected to so much more than just estrogen and progesterone — they’re connected to your blood sugar, liver, gut, thyroid, adrenals, stress, minerals, sleep, and nervous system.

At Rapha Wellness & Health, I help women slow down, look deeper, and support the body as a whole.

You don’t have to keep guessing or pushing through. 🤍

Let’s talk about EBV.

So many people are walking around exhausted, foggy, inflamed, and discouraged — being told their labs look “normal” or that they just need more sleep.

But sometimes, the body is carrying a deeper burden.
Epstein-Barr Virus, also known as EBV, is something many people have been exposed to, but for some, it can become part of a bigger picture when the immune system is under stress.
It may show up as:

• Deep fatigue that rest doesn’t fix
• Brain fog
• Swollen glands
• Sore throat that comes and goes
• Body aches
• Poor sleep
• Feeling run down often
• Hormone shifts or flare patterns

And if this is you — you’re not lazy. You’re not dramatic. You’re not “just tired.”

Your body may be asking for support.
Healing often starts with listening to the body, lowering stress on the immune system, supporting drainage pathways, nourishing the nervous system, and looking at the whole person — not just one symptom.

There is hope for the person who feels like they’ve tried everything.

There is hope for the one who keeps pushing through exhaustion.

There is hope for the friend, mom, sister, spouse, or child who doesn’t feel like themselves anymore.

You are not alone. ❤️
