I'm an Art-Based Emotional & Mindfulness Wellness Coach with a Master’s Degree in Art Therapy & a deep passion for helping others heal, grow, and kreate the life they truly want. My background includes working in the mental health field with children, teens, and adults from all walks of life~ experiences that inspired me to create my own heart-centered coaching approach. Through KWUW, I combine art, mindfulness practices, and holistic tools to guide you toward greater clarity, resilience, and emotional well-being. Emotions are not just in our minds; they show up in our bodies, too.

Using a body outline, this tween explored where she feels her "big feelings" and represented them through different colors and squiggly lines. Activities like this help children and teens increase emotional awareness, identify triggers, build emotional vocabulary & recognize early signs of stress or anxiety so they can use coping tools before emotions become overwhelming.

Sometimes healing begins with simply asking: "What does this feeling look like inside of you?"

The real magic is not in one session... it is in looking back 2.5 years later and realizing how much has changed.

Today, during a teen 1:1 session, he asked me how long he had been coming to see me. When I shared that it had been almost 2.5 years, we both paused and reflected on his journey.

As we talked, something beautiful happened: we both identified many of the same areas of growth.

Over the years, he has worked hard to:

♥︎ Step outside of his comfort zone and try new experiences
♥︎ Pursue the things he is genuinely passionate about
♥︎ Develop confidence in using his voice and advocating for his needs
♥︎ Strengthen his connection to who he is and what matters to him
♥︎ Build deeper, healthier connections with others
♥︎ Increase his self-awareness and understanding of his thoughts, feelings & behaviors
♥︎ Become more resilient when faced with challenges and setbacks
♥︎ Practice problem-solving and decision-making skills
♥︎Trust himself and his abilities more fully
♥︎ Grow in independence while knowing when to ask for support
♥︎ Embrace being authentically himself rather than trying to fit in

Growth often happens so gradually that we don't always notice it day to day. But when we pause and reflect, we can see just how far we've come.

One of the greatest privileges of the work I do through Kreate What U Want is walking alongside children, teens, parents & adults as they discover their strengths, build confidence, develop coping skills and create lives that feel aligned with who they truly are. It is not about becoming someone else; it is about uncovering the best version of the person they already are.

Watching an individual transform over months and years is one of the most meaningful and rewarding experiences. These moments remind me that when people are given a safe space to be seen, heard, supported, challenged & empowered, they do not just grow: they thrive.

And sometimes, all it takes is one simple question:

"How long have I been coming here?"

Long enough to realize that the small steps you once thought did not matter... ended up changing your life.

Sometimes the best coping skills don't look like coping skills... 🧶

Yarn wrapping gives busy hands something purposeful to do while helping the nervous system slow down. It encourages mindfulness, patience, focus, problem-solving & emotional regulation; all through creativity and play.

A gentle reminder that healing and coping can be simple, hands-on & even fun.

When feelings are too big... rip paper and recreate.

In this 1:1 session with a tween, I provided her coping skills, tools and a safe safe to express and process her big feelings & emotions.

Most tweens just need someone outside of their home to talk to.

Sometimes the simplest coping tools are the most powerful 🪨

A smooth stone can become a pocket-sized reminder to pause, breathe & return to the present moment. Rub it between your fingers, squeeze it in your hand, notice its texture and temperature & allow your mind to slow down.

Perfect for kids, teens & adults experiencing stress, anxiety, overwhelm, or needing a little extra focus throughout the day.

You don't always need complicated tools to find calm. Sometimes, all you need is something small to hold onto.

Save this idea for later and share it with someone who could use a little more calm in their day.

Big emotions are a part of being human ~ but coping skills can be learned.

This Coping Skills Jar is a creative and engaging way for children, teens & even adults to build emotional awareness and self-regulation. Each stick contains a healthy coping strategy they can choose from when feeling stressed, frustrated, worried, overwhelmed or sad.

When we practice coping skills during calm moments, they are easier to access during difficult ones.

Supporting children, teens, parents & adults in building confidence, strengthening connections, improving self-regulation, developing self-advocacy skills, achieving goals & reducing stress and anxiety through art and mindfulness is truly a passion of mine.

Over the past 20+ years, I have dedicated myself to my own personal growth, healing & well-being. Through that journey, I have learned firsthand the power of self-awareness, resilience & intentional change.
