In the midst of our water outage on Thursday and all the hustle and bustle that came with it, we were able to take a sweet moment to celebrate someone very special—our friend Brenda!

Thursday was her birthday, and we were so glad she stopped by to share part of her special day with us. Brenda brings all the pink, purple, and sometimes blue to the world! She’s a true fashion queen who is always ready to celebrate, even if it’s just a quick visit outside with friends.

Thank you, Brenda, for stopping by on your birthday and for always bringing smiles wherever you go. We hope your day was as bright, colorful, and wonderful as you are!

Some days bloom slowly,
like flowers after rain.
Quiet petals opening
through memory and pain.

Hands may tremble softly,
names may drift away,
but kindness still grows gently
in the sunlight of each day.

A garden does not question
why one rose blooms late,
or why another leans a little
against the garden gate.

It simply keeps on growing,
piece by piece, somehow—
finding beauty in the moments,
in the here and now.

And those living with dementia,
or minds that work anew,
are still bright fields of wildflowers
with stories blooming through.

So plant a little patience,
water love each day,
because every heart still blossoms
even when memories fade away.

Anna goes above and beyond each and every day in the care she gives to the participants here at Ruby’s. From medication passes and monitoring vitals to the quick bandaids, reassuring words, and those quiet moments of comfort that mean so much—she is always there.
She handles both the routine and the unexpected with grace, patience, and a steady smile. No matter what the day brings, she shows up ready to care, to support, and to make sure each person feels safe, valued, and looked after.
It’s not just the medical care she provides—it’s the kindness, compassion, and heart she puts into every interaction that makes such a difference.
We are beyond grateful to have Anna as part of our Ruby’s team. The impact she makes each day does not go unnoticed! 💙
