A written recommendation is a document signed by a licensed physician. It states that the potential medical use of marijuana would likely outweigh the health risks for the qualifying patient. It also specifies the patient’s debilitating medical condition. There are no set parameters for what conditions qualify you for a card, that is up to your doctor and you to decide. The proposed new law will allow qualified patients to possess up to a sixty-day supply of medical marijuana. The current amount you are allowed to carry for you 60 day supply is 10oz. (This amount can be changed based on needs of patient.) The recreational laws are a bit different. They allow 6 plants per household and no more that 12 plants if there are multiple persons living in the residence.
