Midwestern Amputee Golf Association The Midwestern Amputee Golf Association

MWAGA is headquartered in Northbrook, IL and includes Illinois, Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Wisconsin, Iowa, North Dakota, South Dakota and Minnesota in its region. Our association is under the larger umbrella of the National Amputee Golf Association (NAGA: www.nagagolf.org) headquartered in Smyrna, TN. We do more than play golf…………..we donated to the firemen in NYC after 9/11, we have donated to an

orphanage in Haiti; we give yearly academic scholarships to amputees and family members of amputees, we conduct “First Swing” golf clinics for disabled golfers, and one of our members has traveled to Boston to mentor some of the Boston Marathon amputees.

Looking for an adaptive event that is NOT focused on just the best golfers but one that encourages players to play regardless of skill level?

On September 12th &13th MWAGA will host its annual Adaptive Open, although we are restricted to the first 74 entries, if you are among those, you are in!

Trophies are given to the low scores in Men’s, Men’s Senior, Men’s Super Senior, Women’s, and 9-hole divisions and well as a champion and runner-up in each sport class for both men’s and women’s…. It doesn’t matter if you shoot in the 80’s or the 130’s this event is about the experience not just the lowest scores.

Registration is open and on our website at MWAGA.org

April is Limb Loss and Limb Difference Awareness Month. Led by our friends at the Amputee Coalition, this annual campaign focuses on raising awareness, supporting the over 5.6 million Americans living with limb loss or limb difference, and promoting inclusion through community, advocacy, and education. MWAGA supports this in our own mission.
