I helped this client clear her acne with an approach centered around skin barrier support, inflammation support, acne facials with Linder Health peels, and personalized home care.

And honestly… her commitment and patience with the home care routine I created for her was probably the biggest factor.

Clearing acne usually isn’t a one-stop process where you come for 1 or 2 treatments and expect everything to suddenly change. This client trusted me and trusted the process - coming for repeat treatments in the beginning of her journey, patiently moving through the ā€˜purging’ phase where the skin can temporarily look worse before it gets better, and making adjustments to her home care routine as needed along the way.

That trust, consistency, and dedication is what truly created these results. And every acne journey looks different.

One of the most rewarding parts of this work is seeing confidence return alongside skin health. I’m so happy for this client. šŸ’š

The Summer Solstice marks the longest day of the year - a moment when the sun reaches its peak before slowly beginning its descent.

Where Spring carries the energy of initiation and movement, Summer asks for trust, patience, and nourishment. While spring is about putting things in motion, summer is meant for tending what has already been planted.

The solstice represents the transition from action to nourishment.

The Summer Solstice Facial Ritual was created as a reflection of this seasonal shift, an invitation to nourish, cool excess, restore balance and reconnect with the body during the height of summer.

Healthy aging and skin longevity is less about chasing perfection, and more about supporting the structures beneath the skin before collapse happens. Supporting fascia, muscle tone, lymphatic flow, circulation and skin health together creates more lasting change over time, lessening the need for more correction down the road - these are things I wish I started doing in my 20s, but never too late to start.

🌱New Offering: The 75 min Herbal Renewal Facial: an organic, plant powered skin ritual for sensitive and ingredient conscious clients, centered around face sculpting massage and lymphatic drainage.

Like the roots of a plant, this blend works from the foundation up. Root-based herbs carry a different kind of potency; they are slow-grown, deeply stored, and rich in compounds that take time to fully release. Unlike delicate flowers or leaves, roots require heat, patience, and a slower extraction process to unlock their full benefits.

In this treatment, I incorporate Blissomaļæ¼ Root Blend as the foundation of my bespoke masque rituals. The herbs are gently simmered into a concentrated decoction, allowing their deeply stored nutrients and restorative plant compounds to infuse the skin.

The result is a facial experience that feels grounding, nourishing, and deeply renewing, especially for skin that feels sensitized, depleted, inflamed, or overstimulated by overly aggressive approaches to skincare.

How I went from the bottom picture to the top - we tend to neglect the neck & chest. The bottom is from years of sun damage, tanning, not wearing SPF in the past, and then not using any skin care in that area. I’m also a side sleeper so wrinkles in this area are inevitable, but wrinkles become exacerbated when the skin isn’t taken care of. This isn’t just about appearance - the skin here was damaged and unhealthy.

What I did was use a variety of different modalities over the last year including:
1. First and foremost, using good quality SPF. Non negotiable. Although I love a healthy dose of sun exposure, getting a tan is not my priority.
2. Also essential: tyrosinase inhibitors - hyperpigmentation is primarily caused by over-excited melanin cells - tyrosinase inhibitors like tranexmic acid, niacinamide, and glutathione help calm melanin cells - the root cause - while lightening pigmentation and preventing it from coming back once treated. (This is unfortunately a step that I see skipped in a lot of practices - making results unsustainable).
3. Treatments: I did a series of about 6 Linder Health Peels spread throughout the last year, and in between the series I had a BBL laser treatment done. I also did 2 procell treatments prior to all of this.
4. I make sure to keep the area hydrated and moisturized at all times because barrier restoration is key, and I incorporated a good neck cream with peptides and antioxidants (I apply on my chest too).
5. I do lymphatic drainage massage in this area several times a week - because stagnation contributes to skin inflammation.
6. LED light therapy.

The area isn’t perfect, nor does it need to be, and sometimes I have to retreat it after spending lots of time in the sun (even with SPF), but I’ve made a lot of progress in a year considering the extent of the damage. Hyperpigmentation and sun damage require a multi-faceted approach and lots of commitment and patience. Don’t neglect the neck & chest.šŸ™ŒšŸ¼

Your time to decompress. šŸ’†šŸ¼ā€ā™€ļøšŸƒāœØ Facials aren’t just about the face. They’re a somatic experience. It’s impossible to feel regulated all the time, but with the right hands, your nervous system is able to shift into parasympathetic mode for awhile. This is where real skin healing can begin.

When the body remains in chronic stress mode, circulation, digestion, sleep, inflammation, and cellular function can all become affected, and the skin eventually reflects it. Facial tension, puffiness, breakouts, dehydration, sensitivity, and dullness are not always just ā€œskin issues.ā€ The nervous system plays a role too.

Intentional touch, facial massage, warmth, and slowing down signal safety to the body. Blood flow improves. Muscles soften. Lymphatic movement increases. The skin receives better oxygenation and support for repair.

Sometimes the most restorative thing we can do for the skin is create space for the body to soften.

If your skin has been feeling reactive, depleted, inflamed, or simply disconnected from yourself lately, this may be exactly what your system has been asking for. You can book a facial through the link in my bio, and if you’d like to explore this connection more deeply, I also wrote a blog on the nervous system–skin health connection on my website. šŸƒ

Every choice impacts your skin health, both now and years down the road.

I used to think my skin would always be problematic. And although it still isn’t perfect (I still get hormonal breakouts sometimes & have to keep my rosacea type 2 at bay), I’ve come a long way. The difference has been rooted in lifestyle, commitment, and making many small choices that truly align with who I am. This isn’t about having a rigid lifestyle without setbacks (because that can be equally as toxic). Sometimes it’s about a few small changes at a time.

Changes I’ve made over the years:

- I stopped smoking 9 years ago & now I rarely drink beyond the occasional glass of wine.
- I started taking my health more seriously - replacing processed foods high in artificial sugar and simple carbs with nutrient-dense whole foods.
- I stopped jumping on every trending skincare product, learned ingredients, became an esthetician, and started focusing on higher quality formulas that support long-term skin health and barrier support alongside practices like facial massage, microcurrent, and lymphatic drainage.
- I stopped tanning. As shown in slide 6, even after my skin started clearing, I developed significant hyperpigmentation from sun exposure, tanning beds, and laying out with no SPF. Undoing that damage took consistency, time, & commitment. Good quality SPF is non-negotiable.
- I changed my priorities. Rather than constantly chasing nights out (though I still cherish some of the memories) & living through echo chambers, I shifted toward introspection, motherhood, reconnecting with nature, reading, learning, & building a business around something I’m genuinely passionate about.

What’s interesting is that my main motivation in making these changes wasn’t even my skin. If you told me many years ago that these shifts would completely change my skin, I probably wouldn’t have believed it.

But skin reflects far more than products.
Your skin reflects patterns, habits, the way your detoxification systems work, nourishment, environment, nervous system… The way you live.

And over time, those small choices turn into something visible. This is real skin healing, and it’s never too late to start.
