💛 September is Su***de Prevention Month

You may not always know what someone is experiencing. A simple check-in, a listening ear, or sharing a resource at the right moment can make a real difference.

You don’t have to have all the answers. Sometimes, simply being there and listening is a powerful place to start.

Su***de prevention starts with connection. 💛

🌿 Breastfeeding & Cannabis: What Moms Should Know 🤱

If you’re breastfeeding and use cannabis, you’re not alone and you deserve information without judgment. 💛

THC can pass into breast milk and may remain there for a period of time. Pumping and dumping does not remove THC from breast milk.

If you have questions about cannabis and breastfeeding, talk with your healthcare provider or another trusted professional. Making informed choices starts with having the facts.

💬 No judgment. Just support and information for moms.

The way we think about people who use substances is strongly influenced by what we see on TV, in movies, news headlines, and social media. And what we are shown is often just part of the story.

One of the best ways to understand the human nature behind the headlines is to listen to voices of recovery--people who have lived through substance use sharing their personal experiences. And one of the best ways to hear local voices of recovery is to attend the 10th Annual Western Maine Recovery Rally on September 20. Find more info at www.wmari.org.
