MLP @ NFC 15 – SEASON 2 IS HERE!

The excitement surrounding Season 2 has been incredible! We had enough interest to field NINE teams, but due to scheduling limitations, we had to narrow it down to seven. That alone speaks volumes about how much this league and our pickleball community continue to grow!

Last night’s preseason tournament gave teams their first opportunity to build chemistry, find their rhythm, and, of course, size up the competition.

🏆 Congratulations to Drop It Like It’s Hot! With several returning members of last season’s DAFO squad, they came in with a chip on their shoulder after a dominant regular season ended just short of a championship. They made an early statement by taking home the preseason title!

But it was anything but a cakewalk! Newcomers Backhand Bears pushed them to the limit, proving they’ll be a team to watch this season.

Throughout the night, the competition was fierce, games were tight, and even teams that started slowly found their groove and gained momentum. If last night was any indication, we’re in for one heck of a season!

And that’s what makes this league so special. The camaraderie. The community. The competition. It’s everything we love about pickleball, all rolled into one.

Good luck to all seven teams competing in MLP @ NFC 15 Season 2! Let’s make this our best season yet!

☀️🌊 THAT’S A WRAP ON SUMMER RIVER RALLY!

Congratulations to all of our season-ending tournament winners and everyone who competed week in and week out. It’s been awesome watching the competition, energy, and fun every Monday!

Now it’s time for FALL! 🍂🔥 We’re excited to welcome some fresh new faces along with all of our Monday regulars.

This season, we’ll test a few different River Rally formats to keep things fresh, challenging, and exciting. If they stick, they stick. If not, we’ll go back to the old formula!

Next Monday is PLACEMENT DAY — everyone starts on a random court, and that sets the tone for 13 weeks of nonstop grinding, competition, movement, and fun.

A new season starts now. Let’s see who rises to the top!

It’s been a great summer for our Norwich Fitness Center members and friends — traveling, competing, and bringing home tournament wins! 🏆🏓

It’s great knowing that when you play at NFC, you’re surrounded by people who challenge each other, make each other better, and always compete with respect.

Big congratulations to our Week 2 Summer River Rally winners at Norwich Fitness Center! 🏆

Barry and Tony grinded it out all morning, climbing from Court 6 all the way to the top and taking Week 2 in a close match against Terri and Edwin. Rounding out the podium was Jess and Dave in 3rd on a rainy Monday morning.

Also, great job to everyone adjusting to the Lifetime balls. Sounds like the overall feedback has been pretty positive so far. I know there’s always an adjustment period with any change, but it’s good to hear that most players have been enjoying them.

Thanks to everyone who came out and kept the Rally rolling!

Thank you to everyone who came out and started their 4th of July weekend with a bang at today’s Firecracker Climb at Norwich Fitness Center 🇺🇸🎆

It was great seeing everyone on the courts, competing, laughing, and bringing that firecracker energy to NFC. Congratulations to all of our winners — you lit it up out there! 🔥

We appreciate everyone who came out to make this event such a fun one, and we’d love to keep building on it every year. Enjoy the rest of your holiday weekend, stay cool, stay full, and most importantly… keep all your digits intact. You’ll need them for your grip, your serve, and your questionable line calls. 😂

Happy 4th from NFC Pickleball! 🇺🇸🏓🎇

☀️ River Rally Summer is officially underway at Norwich Fitness Center ! 🌊🏓

We picked up right where we left off in the Spring, with Edwin finishing on top again and setting the tone early. But with summer in full swing, vacations, trips, beach days, and busy schedules, this season is truly up for grabs.

We’ve already had some new faces jump into the mix, which is exactly what makes River Rally so much fun. Everyone starts at zero, every week matters, and anything can happen.

Will it be you climbing the standings this season? Who knows?

Come play, grind it out, and let’s find out.

🏆 River Rally Spring Season Champions 🏆

After 11 grueling weeks (cut short by two snow days), we wrapped up another incredible season of River Rally at Norwich Fitness Center

From the very beginning, Edwin Cardenas set the pace, finishing the season with an amazing 9 gold medals. His only silver medal came while playing as a solo, making his performance even more impressive.

But River Rally has never been just about winning. This season, 70 players came together from all skill levels to compete, laugh, improve, and make new friends. One round you might have been partnered with Edwin, and the next you were trying to beat him. That’s the beauty of this format—it gives everyone a chance to play with and against different players, learn from one another, and enjoy some friendly competition.

As the organizer, watching this community continue to grow has been the most rewarding part. I truly appreciate everyone’s patience, encouragement, and willingness to embrace new ideas as we’ve continued to fine-tune River Rally. It’s because of all of you that this has become one of the highlights of our week.

Congratulations to Edwin on an incredible season, and thank you to every single person who showed up, competed, cheered each other on, and made this league what it is.

☀️ Summer River Rally kicks off this Monday for a 13-week open league—and hopefully this season we’ll avoid any snow days! Whether you’re brand new to pickleball or you’ve been playing for years, everyone is welcome. Come join the fun!
