Vacation was amazing. ☀️❤️

But if I’m being honest…

Coming home isn’t always the hard part.

It’s getting back into your routines.

The meal planning.
The grocery shopping.
The water.
The movement.
The normal schedule.

It’s so easy to tell yourself:

“I’ll start Monday.”
“I’ll get back on track next week.”
“I’ll be more motivated after I rest.”

But sustainable health isn’t about being perfect before vacation, during vacation, or after vacation.

It’s about learning how to come back.

Tonight looks a lot like comfy clothes, catching up on work, planning out the week ahead, and easing back into real life.

And honestly, that’s exactly what I help women do.

Not follow another strict diet.
Not start over every Monday.

Just build simple habits they can return to again and again—even after vacations, busy seasons, holidays, and when life happens.

If you’ve been thinking about making some changes to your health but aren’t sure where to start, I’d love to help.

Whether you need a single Wellness Jump Start Session to create a plan or ongoing support through Faith-Based 1:1 Coaching, you don’t have to figure it all out alone.

Send me a message and I’d be happy to chat about what might be the best fit for you. ❤️

Travel breakfast: 34g of protein in about 45 seconds. 🥰

This morning’s breakfast while on vacation:

🍌 Banana
🥣 Kodiak Cakes Protein oatmeal (14g protein)
☕️ OWYN Double Shot (20g protein)

One of the biggest myths I hear is that eating healthy while traveling has to be complicated.

It doesn’t.

Whether you’re on a road trip, staying at a hotel with only a grab-and-go breakfast, or rushing out the door for a day of adventures, there are usually simple ways to prioritize protein and stay consistent with your goals.

The goal isn’t perfection.

The goal is making the best choice you can in the moment and moving on with your day.

For me, that meant spending about 45 seconds putting together a breakfast that will keep me fuller longer, help me hit my protein goals, and give me energy for a full day of vacation memories with my family.

And no, it doesn’t have to be an OWYN Double Shot. A Muscle Milk, Fairlife, Premier Protein, or another grab-and-go protein drink would work too. I just order the Owyn Double Shots ahead of time because they give me my protein and my morning coffee all in one bottle. ☕️🙌

Consistency isn’t built when everything is easy.

It’s built in the little everyday choices—at home, at work, and even on vacation.

These three boys are one of the biggest reasons I do what I do.

When I started Traver Wellness, it was never about building a huge business or becoming some influencer on the internet. It was about creating something meaningful while helping support the life we wanted for our family.

The income I earn from coaching helps make memories like this possible. It helps pay for adventures, experiences, road trips, and the little moments my boys will remember long after they’re grown.

Right now, we’re on vacation making memories together, and my heart is full.

Monday, one of my coaching clients checked in and shared that she’s just 0.7 lbs away from losing her first 10 pounds. 🎉

Before we started working together, she chose a few non-food rewards to celebrate along the way. Her first reward? A new set of measuring spoons.

And honestly, I couldn’t be more excited for her.

Because it isn’t really about the measuring spoons.

It’s about the confidence she’s building.
The promises she’s keeping to herself.
The habits she’s creating.
The belief that she can do hard things.

As I sit here watching my boys enjoy this trip, I’m reminded that the work I do isn’t just helping support my family.

It’s helping other women create the life they want, too.

And that’s something I’ll never take for granted.

Every check-in.
Every small victory.
Every step forward.

It all matters.

And every woman who trusts me to walk alongside her on her journey helps make moments like this possible for my family, too.

For that, I’ll always be grateful. ❤️

12 years ago today around 8:00 PM, I was being admitted to Labor & Delivery in Iowa with a blood pressure of 181/110 and intense pain in my back and stomach (not labor).

I remember how scared I was and how badly I just wanted the pain to stop.

They immediately started monitoring the baby and running tests on me. Two hours later, I was told I needed to be admitted for a 24-hour urine collection because protein had been found in my urine.

Just 9 hours later, I was diagnosed with severe preeclampsia and HELLP Syndrome and induced at 33 weeks and 2 days.

We were 7 hours from home in a hospital we didn’t know, in a town we didn’t know, in a state we didn’t know.

The night before, something inside me told me to cancel the trip and stay home, but we didn’t.

Looking back now, after talking with nurses over the years and realizing how many medical professionals were unfamiliar with HELLP Syndrome, I truly believe God led us to Iowa, to Mercy Medical Center, and to Dr. Hesse to save our lives.

I didn’t have the “classic” symptoms people often hear about. I didn’t have a massive headache or blurred vision. I had swelling, upper right abdominal pain, and dangerously high blood pressure.

If you are pregnant — or love someone who is — please learn the signs and symptoms of preeclampsia and HELLP Syndrome. Listen to your body. If something feels off, go get checked out.

It could save a life.

Real life lately has looked a lot less like “content creation” and a lot more like this 🫠

The last few weeks at school (work) have been busy, sometimes stressful, and full, and honestly… outside of showing up for my client, I’ve had to set a lot of business things aside for a bit.

Today was slower in the best way though 💛
We spent the day celebrating my oldest’s birthday early with family, and after the boys left for Trail Life, I cleaned up from the party, threw on my pajamas, started a load of laundry, turned on Netflix, and now I’m sitting here folding what feels like 47 years worth of clothes 😂

Not every season is hustle.
Sometimes it’s survival mode. Sometimes it’s family first. Sometimes it’s laundry piles on the couch and quiet moments to finally breathe again.

And honestly, I’m learning that balance doesn’t always look pretty… but it can still be good.

So tell me… how are you spending your Sunday evening? 💛

Woke up thinking about my mom today 🤍

Birthdays look different when someone you love is no longer here…
but the love doesn’t go anywhere.

You just carry it differently.

Today, I’m missing her voice, her laugh, and the simple moments we used to share celebrating together.

But this year also feels a little different.

There’s a deeper sense of peace in knowing she’s no longer alone… that she’s celebrating in heaven with my stepdad again.

Grief is a funny thing—
it can hold both the ache of missing someone and the comfort of knowing they’re at peace at the same time.

If you’re missing someone today too, you’re not alone 🤍

Happy heavenly birthday, Mom.
Forever loved. Always missed.

2 weeks until my first 5K of the year 🏃‍♀️💛

Lola’s is coming up fast.

Which obviously means… new shoes 😅

Stopped at TC Running Company – Eden Prairie and decided to go back to Brooks AND try Hoka for the first time 👀

Shoutout to the staff there for always helping me find the perfect shoes 🙌

Now let’s see if they make me faster or at least look like I know what I’m doing 😂

Down 4.2 pounds!

…but here’s my favorite part of this win 👇

This is after ONE WEEK.

I asked how things were going on Wednesday and she said:

“I feel like I’m more aware of what I’m eating and asking myself if I’m actually hungry before eating… mostly because I don’t want to have to write it down 😂”

And honestly? That awareness is everything.

Because this isn’t about being perfect.
It’s about pausing.
It’s about paying attention.
It’s about starting to make different choices—on purpose.

The scale change is exciting, yes…
but the mindset shift behind it?

That’s what makes this sustainable.

I’m so proud of her 💛

If you’ve been feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or like nothing is working…
you might not need a full overhaul.

You might just need awareness, support, and someone in your corner.

You don’t have to do this alone.

DM me “COACH” and let’s talk.
