Being diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer changed the way Jenny Carbajal views life, health, and community. While her journey has included fear, uncertainty, and difficult moments, it also revealed a strength she never knew she had.

Throughout treatment, Jenny has focused on turning her experience into purpose by creating spaces that spread awareness, encourage women to listen to their bodies, and remind others that they are not alone.

Her message to others navigating TNBC or supporting someone through it:
โ€œTrust yourself, advocate for your health, and allow yourself to lean on others. There is still beauty, connection, and hope even in the hardest seasons.โ€ ๐Ÿ’œ

Thank you, Jenny, for sharing your story and for using your voice to uplift and encourage others in the TNBC community.

Last week, TNBC Foundation attended the 2026 ASCO Annual Meeting in Chicago, one of the largest gatherings of oncology professionals in the world, bringing together over 35,000 researchers, clinicians, and advocates dedicated to advancing cancer care.

Being represented at ASCO matters deeply to us. The TNBC community deserves a voice in every room where the future of cancer research is being shaped, and we are committed to being in those rooms.

A highlight of the week was the Grants & Awards Ceremony, where we celebrated the recipient of the Conquer Cancer โ€“ TNBC Foundation Career Development Award in memory of Sara Zuleta-Acosta. This year's recipient, Dr. Lynn Katherine Symonds, MD of the University of Washington, is conducting groundbreaking research in metastatic TNBC that could one day expand treatment options for our community.

We are grateful to Conquer Cancer, the ASCO Foundation for this meaningful partnership, and to everyone in the TNBC community whose support makes this work possible. Stay tuned for future ASCO updates ๐Ÿ’œ
