If you have Hashimoto’s and feel overwhelmed trying to figure out what to eat, start simple.

The Autoimmune Paleo (AIP) approach removes some of the most common inflammatory foods including legumes, eggs, grains, nightshades, dairy, alcohol, caffeine, seed oils, food additives, and emulsifiers to help support the gut, immune system, and thyroid at the root.

I put together a simple grocery list of what to actually buy at the store because healing nutrition should feel practical, not overwhelming.

For 1:1 support for your personal healing journey, you can message me directly or book a free call at the link in my bio 💌

Would a list of foods to avoid on Hashimoto’s/AIP be helpful too? Let me know in the comments.

Let’s see how big + bushy my supermarket basil will get this summer ☀️🌱 Basil is one of the easiest ways to add more nutrients and healing compounds into your meals 🌿

Rich in antioxidants, vitamin K, magnesium, and anti-inflammatory compounds, basil may help support digestion, heart health, stress response, and overall inflammation levels.

Simple ways to use it:
• Add to eggs, pasta, salads, sandwiches, or soups
• Blend into pesto
• Toss into roasted vegetables
• Add fresh basil to tomato, avocado, or sourdough toast

I buy my basil plant at 🌱Fresh herbs are small but powerful for supporting overall health 🤍 How do you use basil?

Just being at a farmers market where the produce isn’t wrapped in plastic feels like therapy. Slower mornings, fresh air, conversations with local farmers, colors that actually look alive… it’s a reminder of how disconnected we’ve become from real food.

Whole foods nourish the body differently. Fresh, local produce is often richer in nutrients, antioxidants, hydration, and flavor because it spends less time sitting in storage or traveling across the country. Eating closer to the source supports gut health, blood sugar balance, hormone health, and lowers the chemical load from ultra-processed foods and excessive packaging.

These are some Michigan farmers markets I personally love visiting 🌿

People are joking that as adults they’re getting “bullied” to eat more protein more than they ever got pressured to try drugs as teenagers 🤣 But the hype is real.

Protein impacts everything from hormones, blood sugar, metabolism, muscle mass, energy, recovery, and even how we age; especially for women during pregnancy, postpartum, perimenopause, and menopause. Most women are under-eating it without even realizing it.

If you’re exhausted, constantly craving sugar, struggling with stubborn weight, losing muscle, or just feeling unlike yourself, your body may be asking for deeper nutritional support. Call me, text me message me directly to get to the root of your symptoms.
