Healthy skin comes first. Always.
That mole you’ve stopped noticing? The spot that’s “probably nothing”? It may be worth a closer look.
May is Skin Cancer Awareness Month, and while we love talking about collagen, corrective treatments, and glowing skin, none of it matters more than protecting your skin long-term.
One of the simplest habits you can build into your routine is a monthly skin check — and knowing the ABCDEs can help you recognize when something may need professional attention.
A — Asymmetry
If one half doesn’t match the other, it’s worth monitoring.
B — Border
Irregular, blurred, or uneven edges can be a sign to schedule an evaluation.
C — Color
Multiple shades within the same mole — including brown, black, red, white, or tan — deserve attention.
D — Diameter
Anything larger than about 6mm should be monitored, though changes in smaller spots matter too.
E — Evolving
Changes in size, shape, color, texture, itching, crusting, or bleeding should never be ignored.
At Defy Aesthetic Boutique, we believe skincare is more than aesthetics. It’s long-term skin health, prevention, and protecting the skin you’re in for years to come.
Wear your SPF daily. Schedule regular skin exams. Pay attention to changes.
Early detection matters. ☀️
