Most practices can name three or four places they are listed online. The real number is a lot higher.
Each one holds its own copy of your name, address and phone number, and they drift apart quietly. An old number survives on a dozen sites. A suite number gets corrected in one place and nowhere else. Some listings were never created, so you simply do not appear.
None of this shows up in your reporting. A patient calls a dead number and books somewhere else, and nothing about that reaches you.
