It's hot out. I'm grateful for a landlord with a generous A/C provision. However, it isn't possible to keep the treatment room temp below 74 when it is 90 outside because...physics. Heat intolerance is real and if lying still in a darkened room while wearing minimal clothing is not tolerable to you, please cancel your appointment at least two hours in advance. Also, if you want the cups to be hot and the FIR heat lamps on during treatment while maintaining a room temperature below 74 please see

"Practical Implication: Heat will always flow spontaneously from hotter objects to colder ones, never the reverse without external work (like a refrigerator)." Even acupuncturists have to live by the laws of physics.

No. No you can not. With increased demand for and acceptance of Chinese Medicine as a treatment for disease or disorders, there is an increased opportunity for exploitation. Enjoy all the avenues for learning about Chinese Medicine. Don’t allow someone who is not licensed and board certified to practice acupuncture and herbal medicine on you. Be safe!
