💙 “You should abort your baby.”
Those were the words a mother heard after a prenatal ultrasound revealed her baby had clubfoot.
She left that appointment devastated. Crying. Terrified about her child’s future.
But that’s not where the story ends.
Years later, that little girl wasn’t just walking.
She was running.
Jumping.
Competing.
She became a national-level cheerleader who could cartwheel and flip across a floor faster than most people could run.
This is why awareness matters.
Every day, approximately 500 babies around the world are born with clubfoot.
And while hearing the diagnosis can be frightening, clubfoot is often highly treatable when identified and managed early.
With timely treatment, many children go on to walk, run, play sports, dance, and live active, healthy lives.
This International Clubfoot Day, let’s replace fear with hope and misinformation with education.
A diagnosis is not a destiny.
To every parent facing a clubfoot diagnosis today:
There is hope.
There are treatments.
There are success stories.
And your child’s story is still being written. 💙
Share this post to spread awareness and encourage families who may be facing this diagnosis.
