A new survey conducted by PHI's CAMI Health and the Center on Disability is exploring how breast health care is experienced and delivered for women with disabilities as part of a national research study. The study is seeking perspectives from both healthcare teams and women with disabilities, and focuses on breast cancer risk assessment, screening conversations, access to care and shared decision-making.

CCHP's Telehealth Policy Finder tool compiles telehealth-related laws and regulations across the U.S. and at the federal level, helping policymakers, health advocates and other health care professionals understand the policies and trends throughout the nation.

The program has helped over 300 communities in California, Washington and Colorado create and implement community resilience planning projects, while also providing a launchpad for the careers of over 1000 emerging leaders.

A new initiative—led by PHI’s Tracking California and Roots of Change programs, along with partners—aims to reduce extreme heat impacts for vulnerable workers and families in the San Joaquin Valley. The SJV Heat Initiative is launching a Resilience Hub Learning Community to create space for real-time problem solving, peer feedback and shared learning. Beginning in June 2026, the SJV Heat initiative will launch this five-session learning community for organizations, local agencies and individuals involved in planning, implementing or operating resilience hubs and cooling centers. Quarterly sessions will focus on topics including:

Join PHI’s Alcohol Research Group (Public Health Institute) next Tuesday, May 19, from 11am-12pm PT for the next webinar in the I-STARR series. The monthly webinar series explores how to address obstacles and challenges to providing and conducting research on medication for opioid use disorder (MOUD) in recovery housing.

Combining primary data from recovery home operators and Medicaid claims data, this webinar presents findings from a pilot study describing the inner contextual factors related to resident MOUD use. Findings also characterize residents’ MOUD utilization patterns during their first 90 days and examine associations between resident MOUD use and recovery home organizational factors.
