Welcome to my kitchen. ❤️

This is where fresh-milled flour becomes fresh bread—and where food truly becomes nourishment.

Over the years, I’ve learned that how we eat matters just as much as what we eat. Many people struggle with bloating, fatigue, brain fog, inflammation, or digestive issues without ever asking why.

Understanding how your body responds to food is empowering.

No you don’t have to embark on a baking journey..but knowledge is power !

For me, milling my own wheat and baking fresh bread is one way I can control the ingredients, preserve more of the natural nutrients, and avoid many of the unnecessary additives found in ultra-processed breads.

It’s not about perfection. It’s about making informed choices that support long-term health.

Today, my kitchen is feeding more than my family—it’s feeding the gut microbiome, supporting brain health, and reminding me that simple, whole foods can make a real difference.

What questions do you have about fresh-milled flour or homemade bread? I’d love to share what I’ve learned. 🥖🤍

As always, nutrition is personal. What works well for one person may not be the best fit for another, so it’s important to find what supports your own health and goals.

Let’s keep the “outdated information” trend going… 👏

I love 80s, 90s early 2000 music , but the science is a little dated for my liking .

Your body needs sodium. It isn’t the enemy.

The problem isn’t sprinkling salt on whole foods. The problem is the excess sodium hiding in ultra-processed foods, where most people get the majority of their sodium intake.

Using Mrs. Dash (or any low-sodium seasoning) doesn’t magically make processed food healthy. You are still eating an overload of sodium in your meal !

Or how about energy drinks , soda , anything in a can 👀, deli meat , eating out etc all high sodium !

And yes… the type of salt matters.

I choose unrefined mineral salt because it contains naturally occurring trace minerals and is less processed than typical table salt.

If your salt comes in the little container with the girl holding the umbrella… it might be time to put it away. 😉

Instead of fearing salt…
✔️ Eat more whole foods.
✔️ Cut back on ultra-processed foods.
✔️ Season real food with quality ingredients. Use REAL SALT

Food quality always wins.
Your cells with thank you

Note: If you’ve been told by your physician to follow a low-sodium diet because of a medical condition such as kidney disease, heart failure, or certain types of high blood pressure, follow your healthcare provider’s recommendations.

Stop listening to outdated nutrition advice!

Your brain is nearly 60% fat and contains a significant amount of cholesterol. It also makes most of its own cholesterol because cholesterol is essential for healthy brain function.

Eggs are one of the richest natural sources of choline, a nutrient your brain uses to make acetylcholine—a neurotransmitter involved in memory, learning, mood, and muscle function.

Three eggs provide about 18–20 grams of high-quality protein, helping support:
• Muscle maintenance
• Hormone production
• Satiety
• More stable blood sugar after meals

30 g of protein is recommended for breakfast for women and men over 40 !

I put an egg yolk in my coffee , don’t knock till you try it . Google it !

Please speak with your medical provider before trying anything new

LETS DO IT !

Fun AND Informative!

One of my favorite parts of what I do is getting to teach. There is something special about watching people connect the dots and realize their health makes so much more sense than they thought.

I’ve been having so much fun leading wellness workshops that I’ve decided to open 2 complimentary workshop spots each month for businesses, churches, ladies’ groups, and corporate teams.

If you’d like an engaging, educational, hands-on workshop for your group, I’d love to come share. Just send me a message and let’s find a date! 🤍 message for availability!

BUY THE FLOWERS !

Flowers Are More Than Beautiful… They’re Good for Your Brain.

What if one of the simplest ways to calm your nervous system wasn’t another supplement… but a bouquet of fresh flowers?

Research suggests that flowers don’t just brighten a room—they may actually influence your brain chemistry.

🌸 Studies have found that flowers may:
• Help lower cortisol (your primary stress hormone)
• Increase dopamine, the neurotransmitter associated with motivation and pleasure
• Support serotonin, which helps regulate mood
• Promote oxytocin, the “connection hormone” linked to feelings of trust and emotional warmth

In one controlled study, participants who viewed flowers after a stressful task had significantly lower cortisol levels than those who viewed neutral objects. Other research has found that people who keep fresh flowers in their homes report lower stress, less anxiety, and more positive moods.

Why?

Your brain is constantly taking in cues from your environment. Natural beauty appears to help shift your nervous system away from “fight-or-flight” and toward a calmer, more regulated state.

Healing doesn’t always require something complicated.
