The results of this treatment are obvious after just one ☝🏻 treatment. Three are recommended back to back for optimal results. The beauty of this treatment is that it keeps working on building collagen for six months.

It is an amazing treatment to be paired with other cosmetic procedures such as Botox or fillers.

Wellness shouldn’t be linear!
For me a perfect world in the health care world would be the joining of allopathic medicine with holistic wellness or medical practitioners. There should not be any pride of who’s care works better, when it comes to the health and wellness of humans.

What one medicine won’t treat the other can or better yet work in conjunction to meet the patients needs.

What I mean by this is that we are blessed in this world to have not only allopathic medicine to help treat a disease or an emergency when it arises. We are also blessed with alternative medicine, holistic and functional medicine.

Three Examples that come to mind in my business where allopathic medicine may incorporate holistic practices are:

🍃 A person goes to see a counselor for anxiety, and the counselor works with an experienced massage therapist to help the patient by implementing somatic work through massage therapy to help mind, body and spirit.

🍃person suffering from obesity, autoimmune issue, swelling, and toxic overload working with an endocrinologist may refer a Massage therapist trained in Vodder manual lymphatic drainage to help person feel better.

🍃a dermatologist referring a patient who is suffering from acne to a holistic esthetician who is trained in nutrition to help clear up the acne
implementing their medical expertise with the holistic nutrition.

Just because we as professionals bring in another professional to help doesn’t make us less knowledgeable, in front of the patient. It actually shows that we care about the well-being of the patient/client.

We are living an era where the two are very needed. Most of us think this is a new concept. But it’s not!! It’s as old as time.
Doctors 🥼 used to do house calls for the sick, and herbalist used to make concoctions for the sick 🤢

I’m not saying we have to go back to those prehistoric times but we should learn from history.

Getting back to basics and adding human touch, spending a few more minutes with a client/patient, & learning to refer out to other practitioners who may better help is what true wellness is about.

I came across this picture from 2013. I was three years out from graduating from my manual lymphatic drainage course certification. I was asked by my teacher to assist her in teaching manual lymphatic drainage to upcoming Vodder MLD students.

This picture humbles me and reminds me of how far I have come professionally, with the help of amazing teachers and mentors. I am also, reminded that I am always a student of my art! My teacher is Lisa Di Falco! One of the pioneers who brought real Vodder style lymphatic Drainage to me and then to you all who need.
