I began my Massage Therapy career in 2008, working with Doctors of Chiropractic and in spas; however, my goal was always to establish and work with my own clientele. I am certified by the National Certification Board of Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB), the highest national standard in the field of massage. I became certified in Prenatal Massage in 2008. I believe in the power of positive

touch and am blessed to have found my passion. Treating people through massage therapy has been very rewarding. It has allowed me to make a difference in the lives of others. Through continuing education and years of experience, my hands have learned to listen and my work has evolved. I am dedicated to creating a private, professional and friendly environment for my patients. A place where they can feel at ease and safe when receiving treatment. I woke up this morning fully intending to batch content.

I had ideas.
I had a plan.
I was going to be productive.
And then the business needed running.

If you’re a solo business owner, you know exactly what I’m talking about.

And somehow you’re supposed to be the content creator too. 😳

The truth is, most people aren’t avoiding social media because they don’t know what to post.

They’re avoiding it because they’re afraid of being seen.

Afraid of what friends might think.
Afraid of looking silly.
Afraid of getting little engagement.
Afraid of hearing crickets.

As uncomfortable as it may be, if nobody knows you exist, they can’t book with you.
The best massage therapist in town can still have an empty schedule if no one knows they’re there.

Every client I’ve ever worked with found me because I showed up somewhere.
A post.
A video.
A story.
A conversation.
Visibility creates opportunity. Will they like, comment or share your post? Not all the time, but they are watching, and they will remember.

So no, I’m not embarrassed.
Because every piece of content is another chance to educate, connect, and help someone find the solution they’ve been looking for.

You don’t need thousands of followers.
You need the right people to find you.
And that only happens when you show up.

There was a time when my schedule wasn’t full.

Now, I’m usually booked out for two months and I have a waiting list.

There were days I would look at my books and see only one client scheduled. I remember wondering if I was doing enough, if I was charging the right prices, if I would ever build the thriving massage business I envisioned.
