What an incredible clinic with Yogi Sharp, The Equine Documentalist at Florida Farrier Service!

Yogi’s depth of knowledge and ability to teach is truly exceptional. This was, without a doubt, one of the most valuable clinics I’ve attended!

One of my favorite aspects of the clinic was the diversity of professionals in the room; veterinarians, farriers, osteopaths, bodyworkers. All coming together with a shared goal: to continue learning, improve communication across disciplines, and ultimately provide better care for the whole horse.

The more we understand how the different pieces of the horse’s body and care team influence one another, the better equipped we are to recognize problems, work collaboratively, and support the horse as a whole.

I also had such a great time meeting new friends and reconnecting with Kelsey Griffing EquineBodywork and Equine Performance Solutions

Kelsey sold and fitted my horse for a saddle nearly 10 years ago, and somehow Vicke and I have attended three clinics together without realizing it! 😆 It truly is a small world in the equine industry.

Grateful for the education, the conversations, and the opportunity to continue expanding my knowledge so I can better serve my clients. 🐴🥰

And thats a wrap for my 2026 Devon trip! It was so much fun! I am so appreciative to my clients that not only invited me to join them, but trust me with their horses; some of the most talented equine athletes on the circuit receiving pre and post show bodywork. 🩵🎡🍋

I am so glad to see owners that are looking out for their horse and understand the importance of time to recover after a strenuous event like the KY derby. That is not a common theme in the racing industry, and I am wishing Golden Tempo best of luck for his run in the Belmont!

🚨 Kentucky Derby winner GOLDEN TEMPO will bypass Preakness Stakes, point to Belmont Stakes

It was announced Wednesday by trainer Cherie DeVaux that 2026 GI Kentucky Derby winner Golden Tempo (Curlin) will bypass the May 16 GI Preakness Stakes, the second leg of the Triple Crown, and instead point to the June 6 GI Belmont Stakes at Saratoga Race Course.

The full statement, posted on social media via Cherie DeVaux Racing, reads:

“After much thoughtful discussion as a team, we have decided that Golden Tempo will bypass the Preakness Stakes.

We are incredibly appreciative of the excitement and support surrounding the possibility of a Triple Crown run. The enthusiasm from racing fans, our owners, and our entire team has meant more to us than we can properly express.

Golden gave us the race of a lifetime in the Kentucky Derby, and we believe the best decision for him moving forward is to give him a little more time following such a tremendous effort. His health. happiness, and long-term future will always remain our top priority.

We are looking forward to pointing him toward the Belmont Stakes and are excited for what lies ahead with this very special horse.

Thank you again to everyone who has supported and believed in this journey alongside us.“

I am super excited to be heading to the Devon horse show at the end of this month! This show has been a bucket list item of mine, and I met some amazing clients over this winter season that invited me to join them! What a memorable weekend! I had the incredible opportunity to attend an equine dissection with Becks Nairn from NZ! She is forefronting some much needed research of pathologies that often go missed in our beloved equine athletes.

Of course an incredible thank you to our teacher the horse. It is truly amazing what these horses will go through for us. What she taught us this weekend will multiply tenfold for our horses of the future.

As well as a huge thank you to her owner and the crew that made this weekend possible! And of course it is always a sweet time getting to meet new friends and reconnect with old friends that share the same passion for bettering the welfare of the horse. 🩷

This has been a long-awaited announcement! I am officially an FEI Permitted Equine Therapist! This approval will allow me to perform restricted therapies in which I have been trained, at the highest levels of our sports competition. I am so appreciative to all of the equine professionals who have supported me, shared their profound knowledge and ultimately gave me the confidence to pursue this level of accreditation! I am so excited to see where this opportunity takes me! ✈️😄

Difficulty putting head below withers, hyper-reactive, shallow breathing... that's just a few symptoms of an imbalanced nervous system stuck in fight or flight. A good, talented horse scared of his shadow. Sound familiar?

That shortened neck, scapula compression with external rotation is telling me he can't breath....phrenic nerve...diaphragm...ventral line...all restricted and struggling.

In roughly an hour and a half this sweet boy went from tight and tense to soft, balanced and a more trusting state of mind and body.

No, one session didn't fix him. We still have layers of dysfunction to work through. But it's a step in the right direction and he already feels so much better because of it.

I am thankful for owners who are willing to dig a little deeper. It's not always a "training issue" or "personality". A lot of times it's the horse saying "I need help". You just have to listen.
