🌴☀️ HAPPY FRIDAY'S EVE, GULF COAST! 🌊🌀

We're officially on the downhill slide to the weekend, but it looks like Mother Nature has decided to throw a little excitement our way! 😳🌪️

🌀 HURRICANE ISAIAS UPDATE — THURSDAY, OCTOBER 8

As of this morning, Hurricane Isaias is a Category 1 hurricane with sustained winds of 80 mph, moving east-northeast at approximately 9 mph.

Forecasters expect the storm to strengthen as it approaches the northern Gulf Coast, with landfall currently anticipated late Friday night or early Saturday morning.

⚠️ What does this mean for our Mississippi Gulf Coast?

🌧️ Heavy rainfall and possible flooding

💨 Tropical-storm-force winds and potentially stronger conditions

🌊 Dangerous storm surge in coastal areas

⛈️ The possibility of isolated tornadoes

Our friends in Ocean Springs and surrounding coastal communities should take this storm seriously, finish preparations, and continue watching official weather updates. Remember, the forecast can change!

🌴 A LITTLE MESSAGE FROM YOUR US !

We're keeping a close eye on the weather, and if conditions require us to adjust our hours or close, we'll keep everyone informed through Facebook and email.

Our priority is making sure our patients, employees, families, and neighbors stay safe!

☕🧇 And don't forget, our complimentary Happy Hour Breakfast is still on this morning from 9:00–10:00 AM! Stop by for a waffle and coffee on us, weather permitting!

Stay weather-aware, stay prepared, and most importantly, STAY SAFE, GULF COAST! 💙🌴

🌴🌀 GULF COAST WEATHER = KEEP AN EYE ON THOSE SPAGHETTI MODELS! 🌀🌴

Living here on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, we all know the drill… once those spaghetti models start showing up, everybody suddenly becomes a meteorologist. 😂🍝

Here at The Islands Dispensary, we’ll be keeping an eye on the weather right along with you. IF a storm ever gets serious enough that we need to close for the safety of our patients and staff, we plan on having ourselves a little HURRICANE PARTY before we close! 🌀🌴🎉

Any special hours, closing information, or Hurricane Party announcements will be shared through our social media and email, so make sure you’re keeping an eye on our communications while you’re watching those weather updates. Because every Gulf Coast local knows there are certain things you don’t want to wait until the last minute to get. 😉

🌀 Watch the weather.
📱 Watch our social media.
📧 Watch your email.

🌴 And make sure you’re prepared with ALL your necessities!
Until then, we’ll just keep watching those spaghetti models walk the runway. 😂🍝🌀

🌿⚡ STRAIN EDUCATION: GRAPEFRUIT HAZE ⚡🌿

Looking for a little education on a high-energy sativa? Today we’re highlighting Grapefruit Haze from Home Team Farms — a Sativa Dominant cross of Grapefruit Chem × Cuban Black Haze.

🧪 Lab Results
Total : 24.3%
Total Terpenes: 3.98%

What really catches our attention here is that 3.98% terpene profile! 👀 Leading the way is β-Myrcene at 1.7026%, followed by α-Bisabolol, β-Ocimene, Farnesene, Linalool, β-Caryophyllene and more.

🍊🌲 Aroma & Flavor: Expect a combination of pink grapefruit, citrus peel, chem/gas, incense, floral spice and pine — bringing together bright citrus notes with that classic old-school haze character.

☀️⚡ Reported strain characteristics: Grapefruit Haze is presented as uplifting, energetic, creative and cerebral, making it an interesting strain to learn about for patients exploring more daytime-oriented varieties.

And remember: THC percentage is only one part of the story. With nearly 4% total terpenes, Grapefruit Haze is a great example of why we encourage patients to look at the entire cannabinoid and terpene profile when learning what works best for them.

🌴 Ask us about Grapefruit Haze from Home Team Farms and let us help you learn more about its unique profile!
