I often hear from clients, “I’m just waiting for the other shoe to drop” or, “I’ve had too many good things happening to me lately, I’m just waiting for it to come crashing down.”
Although looking for patterns of good and bad is our brain’s job to keep us safe and build references, we can challenge automatic negative thoughts (ANTs) by thinking positively or asking ourselves, “sure, the worst COULD happen, however, what would happen if the BEST or even NEUTRAL happened?” ✨
