This is an example of a lid on a jar of honey on a shelf at a local grocery store. It lists all the countries the honey was sourced. The honey is heated, blended, and filtered. Filtering removes the pollens and mineral matter (the good things) in the honey, and changes the flavor and nutritional value of the honey. It is over processed. Sometimes this information is on the lid of the jar, but in many cases it is on the jar itself. Also, honey does not have an expiration date as long as the beekeeper extracts it at the right moisture content. Be aware of what you are buying. Look at the ingredient list as well. Support US made honey!

Folks, it's that time of year. All the commercial beekeepers will be sending their bees to California for the almond pollination by Valentine's Day. The US is the largest producer of almonds in the world, and it takes a lot of bees to pollinate the crops!
