Miyabi Charcoal

Miyabi Charcoal Nature's water filter: bamboo charcoal. Make tap water tasty by removing impurities like chloramine and lead and avoid plastic waste.

Bamboo charcoal filters water for better taste. It is a sustainable solution for consumers who want to avoid plastic bottles and filters. Miyabi Charcoal sources the highest quality bamboo charcoal, which has been carbonized at high heat (800 degrees Celsius), creating a large, porous surface area. Tests show that these pores adsorb ammonia, lead, mercury, cadmium, and copper from water. Bamboo ch

arcoal also helps to remove chlorine and chlorides, which can make tap water taste bad. Our bamboo is sourced from the Japanese countryside of Yamanashi and Kochi Prefectures and processed into charcoal by artisans using their ancestors' traditional methods. Simple to use: Rinse, boil, add to tap water. Carry bamboo charcoal in your reusable bottle and have filtered water on the go.

So…Hanalei on Kauai has OK tap water. It’s soft, which I love. But honestly? Adding Miyabi bamboo charcoal makes it taste better. 🌺💦🏝️ I brought a few pieces to add to my water glass. Magic. Much better taste and that means I drink more water. Good since I’m running around and swimming. Just one piece for the two days and now I will dump it in the garden before going to the airport. We don’t activate with chemicals only high heat so can be dumped in compost. Aloha!! Maybe the Hanalei Market should carry Miyabi for everyone. 🤔🧐

Greetings from our headquarters! This is where Miyabi started because the tap water just tastes horrible here. Truly. Plus it’s so hard. I need to remember to wash my face with the Miyabi water instead of straight from the tap. I hope Miyabi is a solution for your tap water too!

Three pieces. One liter. Overnight.
No filter cartridges. No plastic. No electricity. Just bamboo, fired in a mountain kiln in Japan, doing what it has done for centuries — quietly pulling chlorine and chloramine out of ordinary tap water until it tastes like something worth drinking.
Fill the carafe before bed. Pour a glass in the morning. When the charcoal has done its work in your kitchen, it goes into the garden. Nothing wasted.

I have a confession. My dog and cat really prefer Miyabi filtered water to straight tap. You’d think I’d remember!!!! Must be because they can also taste the chlorine or chloramine??? 🤨 As soon as I fill with the filtered water from my carafe, they drink the water.
