Happy Nurses Week!
This week, we proudly celebrate the incredible nurses of BJHCHS and recognize the compassion, dedication, and strength they bring to our patients and communities each day.
Below is a special Nurses Week message from our Director of Nursing, Pete Christofoli:
“The trained nurse has become one of the great blessings of humanity, taking a place beside the physician and the priest.”
— Dr. William Osler
As we celebrate Nurses Week, I want to thank all BJHCHS nurses for your service and dedication. Your work over the past year and every day in our clinics does not go unnoticed.
This week is a time to reflect on the impact you make. You support patients and families during some of their most difficult moments. You bring compassion, skill, and strength into every interaction. You help preserve dignity and provide comfort when it matters most.
Nursing is not easy work. It requires patience, resilience, and a deep commitment to others. Despite the challenges, you continue to show up and give your best. That commitment is what allows us to carry out our mission.
I encourage you to take time this week to recognize the difference you make. Give yourself the same care and compassion that you give to others.
Thank you for all that you do.
Respectfully,
Pete Christofoli, DON
