🐾 Happy Happy National Dog Day! 🐾
Today is a VERY important day because it’s all about celebrating dogs. And as a highly trained preparedness professional, I feel it’s my duty to remind you that dogs are a critical part of your emergency preparedness plan.

We need food. We need water. We need medications. We need our favorite toys. We need a comfy place to nap. And obviously, we NEED snacks. Lots and lots of snacks. 🦴

So while you’re celebrating your favorite four-legged family member today, take a few minutes to make sure your emergency kit is ready for them, too.

Because when disaster strikes, “I forgot the dog treats” is NOT an acceptable preparedness plan. 😎

Stay safe, stay prepared, and give your dog an extra treat today.... heck, do that EVERY day! ❤️🐾

We're still needing a few more volunteers for this weekend's Miraclecon!!!

Miraclecon is a two day annual family, friendly- charity gaming and fandom convention, entering its fifth year at the Reed Conference Center. Hosted by Extra Life Oklahoma City, the event raises money for our local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital and the Children’s Health Foundation to fund pediatric care, medical equipment, and other costs.

OKMRC medical and non-medical volunteers are requested to be on site to provide first aid and share information about OKMRC.

Shifts:
Saturday, August 29th:
Shift 1: 10:30 AM – 4:00 PM (1 Medical, 2 Non Medical)
Shift 2: 4:00 PM – 9:30 PM (1 Medical, 2 Non Medical)

Sunday, August 30th:
Shift 1: 10:30 AM – 4:00 PM (1 Medical, 2 Non Medical)
Shift 2: 10:30 AM – 4:00 PM (1 Medical, 2 Non Medical)
