Vision loss is far more nuanced than most people realize. From legal blindness to low vision, cortical blindness to night blindness — each condition affects individuals differently and can profoundly impact all aspects of daily life, including employment and mental health. Vision rehabilitation programs exist to restore independence and quality of life.

Picked up a strum stick for the first time, and honestly? Totally awesome. 10/10, would recommend.

The NewView Oklahoma Music Lab Jam Session was exactly the kind of evening that was needed. Chill, creative, and open to everyone. Come join us! Keep an eye out for our next class here: https://hubs.la/Q04hZ3jR0

In 2021, Nathan Quinn lost his wife Rachel — an elementary schoolteacher who believed, with her whole heart, that education could change a child's life. To honor her, he started a foundation. And last year, that foundation came to NewView Oklahoma with a big ask: 2,000 backpacks, packed with age-appropriate supplies, ready to go.

We said yes.

Our team — Oklahomans who are blind or have low vision — packed every single one. That's what we do. And we'd love to do it for your community too. Read the full story:https://hubs.la/Q04hXf-K0 or visit https://hubs.la/Q04hXnK-0 to shop!

You've probably never heard of the CDC's Vision Health Initiative. But it's been quietly protecting your sight since 2003.

Here's what's at stake:
✅ Funds state grants for glaucoma screening in rural areas using telehealth and AI
✅ Supports community programs for people who are uninsured, low-income, or far from an eye doctor

The people most at risk from these funding cuts are the people least able to absorb them. Prevent Blindness is already working to restore Vision Health Initiative funding — but organizations like NewView Oklahoma need support now. Here's how you can help: https://hubs.la/Q04gGd_x0
