We are thrilled to announce that NewView Oklahoma has been awarded a $10,000 grant from the Mockingbird Foundation in support of our adaptive digital sound and production program for youth who are blind or have low vision.

Out of 939 applicants requesting over $6 million in funding, only 12 grants were awarded. We are so proud and grateful to be among them!

Thank you, The Mockingbird Foundation, for believing in the power of music and in what our young people can accomplish! It's not what you can see, it's what you can be.

“I came to NewView specifically related to my driver's license. I understand my low vision disability pretty well, yet I gained a new app, new tool, and a couple actionable tips! So thankful to have NewView in my city, doing such great work.”

Curious about Meta glasses? Meta is making its AI-powered smart glasses available at no cost to blind veterans across the United States.

Under the initiative, eligible veterans who are legally blind can receive a pair of Ray-Ban Meta glasses and training to help them incorporate the technology into their daily routines.

The glasses can identify and describe surroundings, read printed text aloud, and assist with everyday tasks, providing an added level of independence for individuals living with vision loss.

Meta estimates that more than 130,000 legally blind U.S. veterans will qualify to receive the Ray-Ban Meta glasses through the program.

We're donating Ray-Ban Meta glasses to every blind veteran in America, giving them transformative AI technology.

Many serious eye conditions — like glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic retinopathy — have no early symptoms. A routine eye exam can catch them before vision loss begins.
Adults should get a comprehensive eye exam every 1–2 years. Don't wait until something feels wrong. Your vision is worth protecting.

Did you know that your smartphone or computer is fully navigable without sight and doesn't require expensive software to get started? This Vision Rehabilitation Screen readers convert everything on screen into spoken audio, letting blind and low vision users browse the web, send emails, and manage their lives digitally on their computers. On mobile, screen readers use specific multi-finger gestures to navigate; on desktop, keyboard commands take the place of a mouse.

The right tool depends on your device, your work, and your comfort level. NewView is here to assist! Contact us today: https://hubs.la/Q04k09cf0

Is your team looking for a summer outing? We've got one that actually means something.

July 11–12, the Sooner State Classic brings blind and low-vision athletes to Mohawk Park in Tulsa for a weekend of beep baseball — and we need corporate volunteer teams to help make it happen.

Bring a group of 5–10. Be a baseline judge. Cheer louder than you thought you would. Leave with a story worth telling. This is team building, community impact, and disability inclusion all in one.

We love welcoming our friends to NewView! Yesterday, Transcribing Mariners stopped by our Classen Clinic for a behind-the-scenes look at the work happening here every day. They got to meet Dr. Horner, explore our training kitchen with Anita, and see firsthand how NewView is empowering our community. We are also incredibly grateful for their generous sponsorship of OWL Camp!

There are so many ways to be part of the NewView Oklahoma community - tours, volunteering, sponsorships, and more. See how you can get involved at https://hubs.la/Q04kDJ470

Thank you, Transcribing Mariners, for your time, your curiosity, and your support! We hope you come back soon.

Did you know your cornea can gradually change shape — and you might not even realize it?
Keratoconus is a condition where the cornea thins and bulges into a cone shape, causing blurry vision, light sensitivity, and frequent prescription changes. It's often mistaken for astigmatism in the early stages.

The good news? With early detection, there are great treatment options. Visit https://hubs.la/Q04j_88-0 for more information.
