Free naloxone and fentanyl test strips are now available through the Oklahoma Mental Health & Substance Abuse vending machine located at the FHCSO Behavioral Health entrance in Tishomingo.
Anyone can carry naloxone and potentially save a life. In nearly 40% of overdose deaths, someone else was present. Having naloxone available gives bystanders the chance to respond quickly during an overdose emergency.
Fentanyl cannot be seen, smelled, or tasted, and many people do not know it may be present in substances. Test strips provide results within minutes and can help reduce the risk of accidental overdose.
FHCSO’s Medication Assisted Recovery & Support (MARS) Program provides compassionate, evidence-based treatment for adults 18+ in Johnston, Marshall, Coal, and Atoka counties. Recovery isn’t about facing it alone, it’s about having the right tools, guidance, and support.
Treatment works, and recovery is possible. About 90% of people with a substance use disorder who receive evidence-based treatment report improvement.
