3 things I wish every patient knew about cosmetic surgery 👇🏼
After performing cosmetic surgery, these are the conversations I find myself having over and over again:
1️⃣ Your result isn’t finished when you leave the operating room.
Swelling, bruising, tightness and asymmetry can all be part of the healing process. Your final result takes time—often months.
2️⃣ More surgery doesn’t always mean a better result.
The goal isn’t to do the most. It’s to do what’s appropriate for your anatomy, your goals, and your safety. Sometimes the best surgical plan is actually a smaller one.
3️⃣ Choosing your surgeon matters more than choosing a trend.
Procedures come and go. Instagram trends change every few months. Your anatomy doesn’t. Choose a board-certified surgeon who prioritizes safety, honest expectations and a personalized plan over simply giving you what’s trending.
Cosmetic surgery can be incredibly rewarding—but the best results start with realistic expectations, good communication and a surgeon you trust.
If you’re considering surgery, come prepared with questions. The right surgeon will want you to ask them. 👨⚕️
