WE’RE HIRING: OFFICE MANAGER

Our beloved Brittany is leaving K Square Therapy to resume her career in medical assisting and phlebotomy. Selfishly, we would LOVE for her to stay forever. But we also know this next step puts her back where she belongs, in hands-on patient care, using the skills she has worked so hard for. We could never ask her to put her dreams on hold for us, and we are incredibly excited to watch her grow in this next chapter. ❤️

With that being said, we have some very big shoes to fill, and K Square Therapy is officially looking for our next Office Manager!

Office Manager Responsibilities:

Our Office Manager is truly the heartbeat of our front office and helps keep our therapists, patients, and families organized and supported. Responsibilities include:

- Managing daily front office operations
- Answering and returning phone calls, emails, and patient inquiries
- Scheduling patients and managing therapist schedules
- Coordinating new patient intake and referrals
- Verifying insurance benefits and patient eligibility
- Obtaining and tracking insurance authorizations
- Insurance Claims
- Practice Billing
- Communicating professionally with parents, patients, physicians, schools, insurance companies, and referral sources
- Maintaining organization of the front office and administrative systems

** EXPERIENCE IS PREFERRED, but not required. Pay is based on experience. I am looking to fill the position ASAP, as training will take 4-6 weeks.

Dr. James Quinn 🎉🎉🎉

Dr. Quinn graduated from NSU and began his teaching career in 1992 as a PE teacher. He then went on to receive his Master’s and PhD in Counseling/Psychology from the University of Arkansas. Upon graduation, he became a professor of counseling and psychology at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. He finished his higher education career at OSU. For the last four years Dr. Quinn has been coaching tennis, football and baseball and has been a school counselor. When not working, Dr. Quinn enjoys outdoor activities and motor sports. He is a competitive adult tennis player, and he is active in motorcycle and sport-car clubs. He also teaches guitar for the Veterans Administration. Dr. Quinn is married to Michelle, who is also an educator, and they have two adult children who are busy with their careers.

He is now accepting clients during the evening hours of 5:00-7:00 pm. Call us NOW to get on his schedule, it is very limited. A competent, cool male therapist is a unicorn in this area, and we are so happy to have him with us at K Square!

Because sometimes even therapists need a little rest and recharge between changing lives. 🤍

Our community may be seeing a familiar face around The Academy of Okmulgee! 💙

Our very own Mrs. Abby will be helping provide speech therapy services to students at The Academy of Okmulgee, and we couldn’t be more excited!

At K Square Therapy, we love opportunities to meet children where they are and work alongside the incredible people already supporting them each day. We are so thankful for the opportunity to partner with The Academy of Okmulgee and continue expanding access to speech and language services right here in our community.

We can’t wait to see all the wonderful things Mrs. Abby, Mrs. Brittany Howard and the students at The Academy accomplish together! 🗣️✨

Patients, please do not park at Norman’s Dry Cleaning. While I wasn’t here, owner came owner and was not happy with our patients parking in his private parking lot. I totally understand, I spent the last five years relying on public parking and it is not fun. Now that I have paid for private parking let’s use it! You may park in front of our building or on the side of our building in my private parking. Please do not park at Normans Dry Cleaning. He has threatened to tow. Thank you!

Today was a long day.

In a 10 hour day, we drove 188 miles to advocate for one of our kids. We worked alongside DHS, CASA, foster families, and attorneys all with one goal: making sure a child with disabilities had someone fighting for them. The courthouse didn’t have air conditioning, and we spent hours answering questions while opposing attorneys did what they’re paid to do, attempt to rip us apart (best of luck, because we are iron clad). It’s part of the process, but it doesn’t make it any less exhausting.

Comparatively speaking, my clinic is small. It’s INTENTIONAL.

I know every single child and family who walks through our doors. I hire slowly. We grow slowly. Because when one of our children needs us beyond the therapy room, we go. Every single time. And we roll deep. With evidence base, facts, and ready to fight.

Days like today are long, emotionally draining, and completely unpaid. But advocating for children isn’t something we clock in and out of. It’s who we are.

When you support organizations like the Henry Thomas Foundation, you’re making days like today possible. You’re helping cover the cost of therapy advocates showing up, standing beside children with disabilities, and making sure their voices are heard when it matters most.

So now we wait. We continue advocating. We continue providing life-changing services. We take a longer walk, pray a little harder, and trust that justice will be served.

If your appointment was rescheduled today, we are so sorry. But just know that if you are ever in this position, these women and our team are who you want storming the courthouse. And we will. Every. Single. Time.
