If you’re thinking about booking IPL this fall, here’s what we wish more people knew first:
IPL (intense pulsed light) uses targeted light energy to address things like sun spots, brown pigmentation and visible redness, helping create a more even-looking complexion.
But it’s not a “one and done” treatment.
What to expect:
• Your skin is cleansed and prepped before treatment
• Protective eyewear is worn
• You’ll feel quick flashes of heat or a snapping sensation as the light targets the skin
• Treatment is relatively quick, but timing depends on the area being treated
• Brown spots may temporarily look darker afterward before they gradually fade
• Some redness or warmth can happen immediately after treatment
• Your skin needs to be protected from sun exposure before and after treatment
And one of the biggest reasons we love IPL in the fall? Less sun exposure makes it a great time to start working on the pigmentation summer left behind.
If you’re noticing sun spots, uneven pigmentation or redness you’d like to address, a consultation can help determine if IPL is the right treatment for your skin.
Summer left its mark. Fall is a good time to do something about it.
