Every mission has a beginning. For Docs Who Care, it started with a heart to serve.

Founded by Dr. Gary Morsch, our story is rooted in compassion, shaped by a calling to help others, and built on the belief that quality healthcare should be accessible to every community. From early experiences serving those in need to stepping in to support a rural hospital in Kansas, that calling grew into a mission that continues today.

For nearly three decades, Docs Who Care has been connecting dedicated providers with rural and community hospitals across the country. While healthcare continues to evolve, our purpose remains the same: to support communities in need and empower providers to serve with flexibility and impact.

🌟 10 Years of Excellence in Rural Healthcare! 🌟

We are incredibly proud to celebrate a major milestone—10 years of partnership between Docs Who Care (DWC) and Samaritan Hospital in Macon, MO! Together, we have remained committed to providing high-quality healthcare to Northeast Missouri, navigating the evolving challenges of rural medicine with dedication and heart.

A huge shout-out to Jill Williams, who has served as the vital leader of Samaritan Hospital beginning as CFO and now CEO since 2020. Jill and her dedicated staff - from the front office, the medical team, to the cafeteria crew - have all been phenomenal partners to ensure our DWC providers work well together to ensure the community receives the care it deserves.🎉

Another Milestone Recognition: We honored Dr. Clayton Whetmore for his incredible 10-year journey with DWC!
Dr. Whetmore was on-site at Samaritan Hospital from Day 1, logging over 19,000 hours in the Emergency Department. Thank you for your tireless service!

We were also thrilled to have Dr. Ronald Keller, Dr. Robert Schneider, and Dr. Andy Bukaty join the celebration—their instrumental work helped get this partnership up and running a decade ago.👏
