One of the biggest barriers to getting better isn’t always your injury…

It’s your job.

Whether you sit at a desk for 8+ hours a day or spend your shift lifting, carrying, climbing, or working with your hands, your body is constantly adapting to what you ask it to do.

As a chiropractor, I always tell my patients this:

We’re not just treating your pain. We’re working against the stress your job places on your body every single day.

That doesn’t mean you can’t get better. It just means your treatment plan has to account for the demands of your daily life.

Sometimes that means:
• Adjustments to restore movement
• Mobility and strengthening exercises
• Ergonomic changes at work
• Better recovery habits outside of work

The goal isn’t to avoid work. It’s to build a body that’s more resilient to it.

Your job may contribute to the problem, but with the right plan, it doesn’t have to determine your future.

Home care recommendations are an important part of your care plan because they help support the work being done during your visits.

Adjustments can help improve joint motion, reduce tension, and support better function, but what you do between visits matters too.

Stretching, mobility work, strengthening exercises, posture awareness, hydration, walking, rest, and other recommendations all play a role in helping your body respond and adapt.

When patients are consistent with their home care, it can help improve progress, reduce setbacks, and make the care plan more effective.

When home care is skipped, the body may continue falling back into the same patterns that contributed to the issue in the first place.

The goal is not perfection.

The goal is participation.

Your care plan works best when we work together: the care you receive in the office, plus the care you give your body at home.

Small consistent actions outside the office can make a big difference in your results.

Chiropractic care is not just about getting adjusted when you are in pain.

It is about building consistency with your body.

A lot of people wait until the pain is unbearable before they seek care, but by that point, the body has usually been compensating for weeks, months, or even years.

Consistency with chiropractic care helps support better movement, joint function, posture, mobility, and overall recovery. Just like exercise, nutrition, sleep, and hydration, your spine and nervous system respond best when care is consistent.

One adjustment can help you feel better.

Consistent care helps your body adapt, maintain progress, and reduce the cycle of constantly starting over.

The goal is not dependency.

The goal is helping your body function better, move better, and feel better long-term.

Take care of your body before it forces you to pay attention.

Your gut and your mood are more connected than most people realize.

Your digestive system doesn’t just break down food, it communicates directly with your brain through what’s called the gut-brain connection.

When your gut is inflamed, imbalanced, or not functioning well, it can affect more than digestion. It may contribute to mood changes, brain fog, irritability, fatigue, anxiety-like symptoms, and poor stress tolerance.

This is why functional medicine looks deeper.

Instead of only asking, “Why do I feel off mentally?”
We also ask:

What’s happening with digestion?
What’s happening with inflammation?
What’s happening with blood sugar?
What’s happening with nutrient absorption?
What’s happening with stress?

Because your mood is not separate from the rest of your body.

Your symptoms may be connected and your gut may be one of the places to start.

🌱 Soy & Menopause

One of the biggest misconceptions is that all soy is “bad” for hormones.

The truth is: minimally processed soy foods like edamame, tofu, tempeh, and miso contain phytoestrogens that may actually HELP support some women during menopause.

Research suggests soy foods may help with:
• Hot flashes
• Mood support
• Bone health
• Heart health
• Hormonal balance

The key is quality and context.
Highly processed soy products are very different from whole-food traditional soy sources.

In Functional Medicine, we look at the whole picture looking at hormones, gut health, inflammation, stress, nutrition, and lifestyle — because every woman’s body responds differently.

Menopause is not the end of vitality. It’s a new phase that deserves support, education, and individualized care. 💙

🚨 “Type 2 Diabetes can’t be reversed.”
One of the biggest myths in healthcare.

Type 2 Diabetes is often more than just a blood sugar issue it can involve insulin resistance, inflammation, stress, poor sleep, gut dysfunction, nutrition, and lifestyle factors.

In Functional Medicine, we focus on addressing the ROOT causes instead of only managing symptoms.

Through personalized nutrition, lifestyle changes, stress management, movement, sleep optimization, and targeted care, many people can significantly improve their health and blood sugar control.

There is hope. Your diagnosis does not have to define your future. 💙

Stop Guessing. Start Testing.

Too many people are trying to “fix” their health by throwing supplements, diets, and trends at the wall hoping something sticks.

Keto. Vegan. Detox teas. Random vitamins.

But here’s the truth…

If you don’t know what’s going on inside your body, you’re just guessing.

Blood work gives you real data:
• Are you actually deficient in nutrients?
• Is inflammation present?
• Are your hormones off?
• Is your blood sugar stable?
• Is your thyroid functioning properly?

Because the symptoms you feel:
Fatigue. Brain fog. Weight gain. Pain. Poor sleep.

👉 They can all come from different root causes

And taking the wrong supplement or following the wrong diet can:
• Waste your money
• Delay real progress
• Or even make things worse

This is why testing comes first. Always.

At TouchBase, we don’t just treat symptoms.
We look at the full picture so your plan is built specifically for YOU.

Personalized > Trendy. Every time.

If you’re serious about your health, it starts with understanding your body.

Not guessing.

If sitting hurts…
If standing hurts…
If your sciatica flares up randomly…

Your problem might not be your back.

It might be that your core isn’t turning on the way it should.

Most people were never taught how to actually use their diaphragm to stabilize their spine. This simple breathing technique can reduce pressure on your low back and help your body feel safer during movement.

Stability creates comfort.
Comfort reduces pain.

Save this and try it later.
