My first visit to Machu Picchu was a very emotional one. I knew I needed to visit Peru, but I had no idea why. I originally thought I would be going to the Amazon to work with plant medicine. And then realized I was meant to visit Peru for a completely different reason.
Machu Picchu seemed like a tourist attraction. But as we drove up the winding road getting closer and closer to this ancient site, the tension built inside my body. As I peered through the bus windows to the outskirts of the ancient ceremonial grounds, memories came flooding in, and deeply buried emotional grief erupted out of me. I could not stop crying.
Deep soulful wounds came to the surface; memories I had no idea I was carrying inside my soul. I suddenly understood why I was there and what I was meant to do.
As I worked my way through this incredible historical land that I once knew and deeply loved, I realized I was collecting pieces of myself that had been trapped there through painful experiences of my soul's past.
In dream state, I had been told that visiting Peru would set me on a whole new trajectory in my soul's completion. That there would be a realignment for me, making the previously familiar into an unfamiliar experience. And here it was. This was only one of the experiences that would completely reshape my soul's timeline.
An experience that is hard to describe and more powerful than anything written in a book. It can really only be fully understood by those who have walked this path and restored lost soul fragments for themselves.
