Confucius—“Do not to others what you would not like done to you.” Hillel—“What is hateful to thee never do to thy fellow man. This is the entire Torah, all else is commentary.” Jesus—“Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.” How much better it would be if more of us lived by the golden rule.
