This Pride Month, APTA Washington is proud to feature member Ken McGee for their meaningful contributions to advancing inclusive, affirming care and expanding access to physical therapy services in the community.
Ken’s work highlights the importance of allyship in physical therapy and its impact on creating safe, supportive environments for all patients within the LGBTQIA+ community. From strengthening therapeutic relationships to supporting equitable access to care, their perspective underscores how inclusive practice benefits every patient and family we serve.
Ken is a physical therapist with Hinge Health, focused on expanding pelvic health access in rural and underserved areas, an adjunct faculty member at Tufts University’s DPT program in Seattle, and a frequent lecturer on topics including gender-affirming care and pelvic health. Their work reflects a deep commitment to community impact, education, and improving access to care.
