You mattered.

Funny how you can be a grown adult, walk into a room with family, and suddenly feel 12 years old again. 🤓

Some of those old roles and responsibilities follow us long after we’ve left home.

The good news? We get to choose what we carry forward.

That’s not rejection. That’s recovery.

A child can learn to keep the peace by slowly disappearing.

Be quiet.
Don’t upset anybody.
Don’t say what you really think.

But we can teach something different.

Having a voice doesn’t mean getting your way.

It means learning to be real, responsible, and connected without disappearing.

What we do matters. ❤️

Maybe humanity didn’t disappear.

Maybe we stopped rewarding it.

Every click teaches the algorithm something. What we stop for. What we watch. What we comment on. What we share.

So for one day, how about we deliberately reward what reminds us that we’re human?

Flood it with humanity.

Then see what it reflects back to us.

What we do matters.

Codependency can be taught long before we ever call it codependency.

When your children learn that keeping the peace means staying quiet, hiding their feelings, or becoming smaller to keep someone else comfortable, they can begin learning that other people’s comfort matters more than their own voice.

Remember that pattern doesn’t automatically disappear when they grow up.

How about giving your kiddo permission to have a voice?

Teach them that love doesn’t require disappearing!

STOP shushing them!

Traveling 4 Changes:

One of the things these experiences continue to remind me is that human connection has a way of reaching all of us.

You come willing to show up.
To listen.
To share.
To be present.
To grow.

And somewhere in that connection, you realize no one walks away untouched.

Something is shared.
Something is received.
Something shifts on both sides.

We see each other differently.
We see ourselves differently.

Making a difference isn’t one-directional.

We affect one another.

And what we take home - what we allow to change us, and what we choose to do with it - matters.

We can’t do this alone.

What we do matters.

You come here thinking you know what connection looks like.And then you sit with people.You listen to their stories.You ...

You come here thinking you know what connection looks like.

And then you sit with people.
You listen to their stories.
You share some of yours.
You laugh together.
You allow yourself to be uncomfortable.

And somewhere in all of that, you realize something -

This isn’t about who is giving and who is receiving.

That’s the part of Traveling 4 Changes that’s difficult to explain until you experience it.

This isn’t about rescuing anybody.

It isn’t about showing up with answers.

It’s about human beings meeting human beings.

Being willing to listen.
Being willing to learn.
Being willing to be vulnerable.
Being willing to let somebody else’s life touch yours.

It’s about our lives touching one another’s…

And all of us maybe walking away a little different than we arrived.
