3 years of grinding on my own as a piercer and business owner, showing up for better education, while also keeping a roof over my head, and my mental health a few levels above burn out....

But let's be 100% honest, I AM in full burn out(even contimplated burning it all down just a few days ago), and Ive been avoiding and ignoring everything thats been bothering me just to save face and keep going. I.Cant.Do.It.Anymore....

Recieving this means so much more than supporting a fellow piercer thru one of the biggest losses we could ever go thru, and being apart of a community that pulls together to help one of our own out.....

It arrived on a day this week, a really low day for me if you will, one where I had been contemplating closing shop because life has been heavy, hell the world has been heavy.

This was a lil reminder why I do what I do, and why Im grateful I took the steps to be more involved in the industry outside the bubble Ive been stuck in my entire career. Theres a community within the industry as well as within the clients we serve. The reminders and the sparks are always there if youre willing to ask and accept them.

Thank you Lynn at Nexus and your partner for this amazing piece of art with sooo much meaning. And thank you to the community for accepting and supporting me this last year. 🫶
