Parents often try to protect their children from worrying, even when they're facing challenges. Having extra support means someone is there to notice the things they may not mention. If you've heard "I'm fine" more times than you can count, let's have a conversation.

Suppose your aging loved one lived in another state - say two or three states away. And you wanted them to move back to your state. How would you manage that?

Well if you work with Outreach Patient Advocates, we'll take care of everything! Last weekend we moved one of our beloved clients from NE to MN to live with her family!

We arranged for the movers and handled all of the logistics, then loaded everyone into the van for a looooong drive!

We had the perfect playlist of hits from yesteryear to keep the singalong going all the way to Minnesota.

Our clients are so special to us, and we're thrilled to reunite this wonderful family!

"Yes, Let's Zip, Zap, Zop our Way to Better Communications!"

Please join me and my Alzheimer’s Association friends Dinah Gomez and Christa Reason as we present our fun and informative improv session at the Midlands Elder Care Network monthly networking meeting on September 15th, 8:30 am at the UNO Thompson Alumni Center!

Improv is a little uncomfortable but a LOT of fun! It's also a great tool for thinking on your feet and listening.

These short exercises will keep us on our toes and provide a short session on active listening skills.

It's also a fantastic way to sharpen interpersonal and business skills, things like adaptability, confidence, and clear communication, that translate directly into how we connect with clients and each other.

Mark your calendars!

Every senior has a lifetime of experiences, lessons, and memories worth celebrating. On Senior Citizens Day, we honor their resilience, kindness, and the incredible contributions they've made to their families and communities. Today is also a reminder to take a moment to visit, call, or spend time with the older adults in your life because the greatest gift we can give is our time. Happy Senior Citizens Day from all of us at Outreach Patient Advocates. 💙

If your loved one could use a little extra support navigating healthcare or daily life, we're here to help. Reach out to learn how we can be part of their care journey.
