Greetings All,

Sorry, been busy trying to schedule and arrange VA appointments for the next few months. When you get notified of certain illnesses you have to start jumping through hoops to line things up and make sure you have people available to see you to and from proceedures.

2nd Chronicles after King Solomon's death is quite woeful at times depending on who's the reigning king in Judah or Israel. Both sides have their moments of utter folly and or greatness. It all depends on whether they are following God or not. They can foolishly follow the self-serving peoples around them and go after false idols which only lead to despair and death. Of course, Father God warned them what would happen should they go off course and put away his ways...nation after nation would come through and destroy their way of life. We also can and do fall into this trap, though our idols are a lot more selfish in nature.
Friends, being reliant on God for our provisions seems rather odd to us. We're taught to basically fend for ourselves and reach for the brass ring in life. Take and get everything you can. Seems like a natural thing to do...but everything in life does come at a cost. We don't recognize that part of the equation and when it's time to settle the accounts, we find that we're left short and unable to pay the price for our extravagant actions. Had we paid more attention to the plight of the Israelite nation as they went through their own reluctance to follow along with God's providence, we might not be in such a bad spot.
I've learned that patience and reliance on God takes strength, courage, and prayer. I can look at my own life and the lives of others I know and see where the Lord has always provided because we chose to actively seek Him out for our needs. So, my call to you is...where do you stand in your relationship God. As a bystander just casually watching as life rolls by and grasping for the brass ring? Or, praying daily for God's blessing upon yourself and others? It does make a difference when the account balance comes due.

Trust me I know from experience the immensity of the pain and all that's associated with it. I too thought that there was only one escape that would "fix, resolve, or end" the suffering that surrounded me. But the Lord had different plans and brought this reluctant soul through the experience and redeemed me...then provided a calling I thought would be that last thing I could be called to do...reaching out to others in desperate situations and telling them that there is hope and understanding. So please reach out and the Lord does provide a doorway to help you never thought possible.

Father God, you know our coming and going. Your design for our lives is perfect in every way and all we need to do is seek you out and be patient. It's difficult at times but the wait is always worth it in the end when we realize that You Lord where always providing what was best for us.

It's Friday, here it's overcast and more rain to come which for me is a blessing but not so much for farmers who are either in or coming into harvest season. Going to be tough for them here in Nebraska and the surrounding areas, so prayers for our farming community across the nation as weather can always be issue.
Father God, thank you, you always provide the necessary circumstances for the harvest...that applies to food and for lost souls. We surrender to your will and live accordingly. Bless those who bless you.

Hey Everyone,

Hope all is well around the country and the world. A day of rest and a day of thanksgiving to the Lord for all that he provides.
2nd Chronicles starts out strong with a young Solomon in charge of Israel. He's surrounds himself with men that are strong believers in God to aid him in governing the people and the nation. Even though Father God bestows discernment and knowledge upon Solomon, he recognizes the need for a solid outreach to the peoples across the Jewish nation.
Friends, we try to do the same here in our great nation of the United States, but we are more fractured than harmonious in our governing of the peoples. Politicians have become self-centered and self-serving. I strongly believe this to be a "faith" issue. Unlike the Jewish nation where the reigning King could pull all the men together and get a consensus and commitment to actively follow God's covenant...we see our nation serving an attraction to power, money, and self. The original constitutional body that signed the "Declaration of Independence" was a God fearing, God serving group of individuals that took abstracts from biblical principles and incorporated these ideals into the constitution. It's why we are a nation that others wish they could be.
Folks, don't let the news and foolishness of this world drive you away from the one sanctifying principle of "One Nation under God"! We have survived this long because we do believe in the Lord Almighty and that He is the principal reason for all the blessings we have and enjoy.
Father God, we ask you to reignite the passion of the Founding Fathers love, trust, and faith in You. We want grace to flow across our land as we humble ourselves before You, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. We want to be a God fearing and God loving people who will do everything You ask and show that world our compassion. Thank you for Your blessings, even when we don't deserve anything but You graciously provide because Your love knows no bounds.

Good Evening All,

1st Chronicles is finished and its recap is extremely in-depth concerning King David and all the works he accomplished to set the Israelite nation in good running order. He will pass along his legacy to his son Solomon whom God will shelter under his wing so long as Solomon remains faithful. I love the idea that Solomon basically asks for knowledge, to be a good steward of all that the Lord will bring his way.
King David recognized that we are merely a shadow of things in God's infinite realm. We are a momentary tick in time but in our short time we can have a great impact on those we encounter and future generations. Friends, we too can make an impression on life around us...our actions always speak volumes about our walk across this world and whether or not we impart goodness or sorrow. We would like to be able to represent our Christianity in a way that says we love life and everything that is in it. Following in Christ's footsteps, even though there are times those footsteps aren't visible because we are fully relying on Jesus to carry us through some of the hazards we may create in our walk.
Father God, help us, we were born into sin and its one of those things that happens to be in our way at each fork in the road. We are ever thankful for the cross and what it represents, please help us to focus on the lamb and give thanks for the grace that is imparted with that sacrifice. Help us to be mindful of our surroundings, like David and Solomon.

Hiya All,

Yep, still in Chronicles...it's one of those books you don't rush through, there is so much going on that you honestly need to take time and mentally digest the intricacies of what is being written. They didn't go to all the trouble of writing all this information just for the sake of doing so. When King David's life is laid out before you, you can see why he was chosen by God, not perfect by any means but, a humble and repentant man who honored the Lord. You will see a lot of his writings in Psalms...these are worthy works that bring low even the haughtiest of souls.
Friends, if we were to "chronicle" your life, would you be like David, humble and contrite? I know there are times in my past that make me hang my head in shame, yet Christ has covered my foolishness with grace. Thank you, Lord Jesus, for such a gift.

Still in 1st Chronicles...King David, being led by God is taking control of the lands. He's removing or subjugating the unruly peoples that constantly cause issues for the Israelite nation. They're paying tribute and providing a workforce to help build infrastructure. David is amassing wealth and goods that will eventually be used by his son to build the temple that houses the Ark of the Covenant.
We've built countless churches in order to worship God Almighty but like the Israelites, we've moved away from honoring God and placed our wants into the top tiers of our lives. God has become either a secondary notion or removed from life altogether. They do say that history repeats itself. The Jewish peoples lost their great temple due to their reluctance in keeping Father God as a priority, so we too are losing churches all over because folks have stopped believing.
I had issues with the church as a young man and walked away, saw no value in what the church provided. A turn of events in my midlife changed that perspective and now I feel lost without the Word. I wonder though, what has changed within the last decade or so that has folks walking away in droves? Did COVID have that great of an impact on our lives that we just took God and shoved Him into some dusty old box and forgot that He is the great I AM?
I listen to conversations in today's atmosphere and it's rather appalling. People have gotten mean, they talk about co-workers, friends, family, clients behind their backs as if they're worthless pieces of filth. The use of foul language his more than quadrupled of the years. It's why I really can't sit down and engage with people anymore.
Father, we are sinners, I understand that, but I ask for Your intercession into this world. It's very troubling Lord to see a world that is heading towards a situation that is unrecoverable. Please Father, guide us, give us peace and grace instead of strife.

Chronicles...a recap of life at its best. King David leaping and dancing before the people and the Lord as he brings the Ark of the Covenant into the city of David and has it placed in a tent so that the Israelite nation can once again come before the Lord in thanks and praise. The Levites will take up their call to minister and sacrifice before God. Honor and glory to our Heavenly Father.
We too can honor and glorify God by surrendering ourselves to Lord Jesus and honoring His sacrifice for our lives. We no longer kill animals to pay for our transgressions...that was accomplished by Christ on the cross...the ultimate sacrificial lamb for the forgiveness of our sins...past, present, and future. To truly honor this, we need to live a life worthy of what was accomplished at the cross.
Thank you, Jesus, for the opportunity to serve and of being a servant to others in need. Fill our cups with grace daily so that we may pour into others. Give us discerning hearts, patience, and most importantly love for all.

Chronicles are fascinating...recounting Saul and David, their lineages, Saul's death, David's rise to King, his works, the Tabernacle and Ark of the Covenant. A recount of histories significant highlights so that they can be preserved for all time.
Father God is vengeful yet merciful in the same sentence. He ensures the works of men are recorded so that we can see where lives flourished when we obey the laws and where loss is grievous upon a people when they willingly disregard God's covenant with humanity.
We can see prosperity and despair all throughout the Old and New Testament...it's very prevalent in today's society. Always running in cycles of trust. We're definitely in a down swing...it's evident from the many groups that are vying for attention that would be brought to destruction like S***m and Gomorrah.
I don't understand why we sit idly by instead of speaking truth into the world. We allow these entities to influence our youth and wonder why there are so many mental health issues and instances of su***de. Frustrating! Friends, if you, a family member, or a friend need help then don't sit on the sidelines. There are professionals out there that can help sort things out. If you're unsure of where to start then begin with the church, family Doctor, or any of the mental health hotlines out there.
Dear Lord, we ask for your divine intervention when life becomes radical and beyond our capabilities. You always listen and provide openings that lead towards help. Let us be mindful of Your presence in our lives and come to you when we fail. Fill us with Your loving grace and peace.
